Monday 7th September 2020
In Across the Leagues today:
During lockdown, we had 100 days without Premier League football.
The 2019/20 season eventually resumed, and completed on 26th July. Less than 50 days later, the new 2020/21 campaign will be getting underway this weekend.
The games will still be behind closed doors without fans to start with, but hopefully not for too long.
This weekend sees the return of the Premier League and English Football League, as well as La Liga in Spain.
Ante post business…
Throughout September, we’re building up our outright, ante post betting book for the new season.
Last week, we took a first look at the Top Goalscorer markets in the Premier League and Championship…
Setting out our stall in search of value prices and Each Way contenders, I flagged up three picks in my analysis:
Bet365 are sticking to their guns, with the top-price 100/1 still available for both Mitrovic and Dykes. And the Each Way terms of 1/4 odds for 1-4 places.
Vardy is still available at 18/1 with Betfred, and 16/1 elsewhere.
Looking at League One tomorrow…
I’m continuing the research this week. And with the transfer window open until October, we’ll be paying attention to new signings, squad news, and the latest odds, all month – and beyond.
The next division in our sights is League One. We’ll be taking a first look at both the League Winner and Top Goalscorer markets in tomorrow afternoon’s email.
The Predictor league returns…
Behind the scenes, your members-only Across the Leagues website is also being worked on with updates and new stats & leagues for 2020/21.
And this weekend will see the return of our popular, free-to-play Premier League Predictorgame…
Last season, the jackpot went to Predictor League winner, ‘Ramjet.’ I came a respectable if not spectacular 22nd.
We’ll be offering weekly cash prizes once again. With a special boost in week one, too. Lookout for a Predictor email from me at the end of the week.
Lots to look forward to…
I’ll see you tomorrow, with a price or two worth taking in League One.
