Bundesliga bonanza - Goals treble for tonight…

The Bundesliga is back…

The German top-flight returned at the weekend, with the first round of league games since the week before the World Cup.

And these guys were clearly raring to go…

The first Bundesliga fixtures since 13th November produced a goals bonanza. Continuing the ‘goals galore’ theme we’ve discussed in Germany many times before:

• 7 of the 9 weekend games went Over 2.5 Goals

• 7 out of 9 also paid out on Both Teams to Score

• And 6 out of 9 paid out on Over 3.5 Goals. With score-lines of: 2-3, 4-3, 7-1, 3-1, 3-1, 6-0

In total, there were 41 goals scored in that round of games, making it the highest matchday total in the Bundesliga for 20 years.

As I say, this high-goals trend is nothing new in Germany. And while we can’t expect to see a record tally every week, I do feel we should look to follow the form and stats this week…

There’s a full round of midweek Bundesliga games across tonight and tomorrow (matchday 17). Followed by another set of games coming up this weekend (matchday 18).

These three games appeal to me for an Over 2.5 Goals treble today. Two of them are live on Sky Sports Mix, with the first of them kicking-off at 5.30pm…
