Good afternoon. I’m back from my week away. Only one day of rain – not bad for the UK. And I successfully completed the giant Jenga mission of getting all the kiddie stuff in the car…

Thanks for your emails and messages after the Euros. I think these sentiments from Kieran sum up our Euro 2024 service pretty well: good… almost great. And roll on the new season…

The 17 domestic leagues covered by the stats on our members-only website. As well as the UEFA cup competitions, which I’ll be covering with midweek articles and analysis throughout the season. Starting in Scotland…

The Scottish Premiership gets the ball rolling for us this weekend, with the opening games on Saturday afternoon.

I’ve got some historical top-scorer stats to work with this week. I’ll be updating those, taking in the summer signings, and latest odds (not many firms are up with their Scottish ante-post markets as I write…).

I’ll be in touch on Friday with your first Weekend Preview email of the season, with Top Goalscorer analysis for the Scottish top-flight.

After that, we’ll be full steam ahead with the English Football League (EFL) next week: the Championship, League One, and League Two. We may very well have a multi-division mega-acca for the EFL…

August then ramps up with the start of the Premier League on the weekend of the 16th. And that means a new 2024/25 Predictor game for us, too…

Lots to look forward to. Break in your new football boots. Order your new home & away kits. Fiddle with your Sky dish. We’ll be alive & kicking very soon…
