In Across the Leagues today:
We focused on the Championship and League Two last night, and Both Teams to Score was certainly the order of the day in those divisions:
That includes our featured matches from yesterday’s analysis:
Bournemouth 2 Preston 3
Bradford 1 Cheltenham 2
Grimsby 1 Exeter 4
Those games paid out on the Both Teams to Score treble at 9/2 (5.5).
In terms of the Win & Both Teams to Score (Win & BTTS) options – where the odds can really roll up into something exciting – I got two out of three, for the second Tuesday evening in a row.
Across the Leagues member Denis B did very well for himself, bagging a 15/1 double on the Win & BTTS markets:
“Hi Oliver, great bets last night well done I had double Exeter and Cheltenham win both teams to score as I had already took Bournemouth in another bet had odd couple pound left so got £32 for 2 pound double thanks. They are the bets I like thanks again regards Denis”
Good work, Denis.
Chris B had a profitable evening and plenty of fun, too..
“Hi Oliver, so close again. I invested 8.5 points and returned a profit of 20.5 points. I place my bets with Marathon, who are really good, but felt I had to LAY Cheltenham in the last ten minutes to guarantee a return when they went 2-1 up.
I think the Trixie on the WIN & BTTS selections is worth the extra outlay because if you only get two up the double is still worth it…
This form of backing on the football is really good fun and I am sure it is only a matter of time before ALL three come up when you apply your databases to finding the selections.
Keep up the good work and no Christmas cards to Bournemouth FC !!”

With the English Football League (EFL) fixtures continuing at a pace, let’s see if we can keep the ball rolling with some more Win & BTTS selections at nice prices this evening. See below.
We’re still waiting for this season’s Champions League to really heat up. The return of fans in stadiums soon should help. And of course, the Knockout rounds in the New Year are when things start to get really interesting.
Last night, our 33/1 Top Goalscorer pick Romelu Lukaku scored twice, taking him to four goals in the competition this season. The Inter Milan striker is one goal off the current Top 4 (Each Way) places, and two off the top.
Inter go into next week’s final Group game, needing a win v Shakhtar Donetsk to keep them in the competition. In the Top Goalscorer market, the bookmakers now have Lukaku at 20/1 tops, and 16/1 in general.
In the Anytime Scorer markets, we’ve done well in recent weeks by identifying in-form players who are finding the net more frequently than their odds suggest. Two men stand out for me on that criteria this evening…
Man Utd v PSG
Tonight’s Anytime Scorer price of 7/4 (2.75) makes the Man Utd man value on his 2020/21 form. The Portuguese midfielder has been scoring more often than that 36% percentage chance would imply, as true odds.
Man Utd have a big match at Old Trafford against PSG, with all to play for in terms of the top two spots in Group H. Bruno has repeatedly shown he’s a man for the big occasion – and he found the net in the reverse fixture in Paris, too.
Borussia Dortmund v Lazio
This is also an important game, especially in terms of the destination of the 1st place prize in Group F. Dortmund currently sit one point above Lazio.
The Italians beat Dortmund 3-1 on match-day one in October, and Ciro Immobile was on the score-sheet that night…
Immobile is currently on a six-game scoring run. While Dortmund’s star scorer Erling Braut Haaland boasts similarly eye-catching stats (scored in 7 of last 8 games), you’d have made more money backing the Lazio man at the prices available.
Haaland is odds-on at around 8/13 (1.62) today. Immobile catches the eye at a more appealing 13/8 (2.63), which as true odds would make him a 38% chance to score.
As with Bruno Fernandes, Ciro Immobile takes penalties. And, crucially, has also been scoring with more frequency than tonight’s Anytime Scorer price suggests.
Back to the well in the midweek EFL games now. Here are three matches on the radar, all with Win & BTTS potential…
Blackburn v Millwall (Championship, 7.45pm)
Blackburn to Win & Both Teams to Score is available 15/4 (4.75) and 7/2 (4.5).
Hull v Doncaster (League One, 7pm)
Hull to Win & Both Teams to Score is available at 15/4 (4.75), 7/2 (4.5) and 10/3 (4.33).
Bristol Rovers v Gillingham (League One, 7pm)
Gillingham to Win & Both Teams to Score is 6/1 (7.0) and 11/2 (6.5).
Take your pick…
As ever, my advice with these selections is to pick & choose, however you prefer. At the prices on offer, singles and doubles make plenty of appeal. And the Win & BTTS treble offers a 156/1 jackpot.
I’m going for the same three-pronged approach as yesterday...
Blackburn, Hull & Gillingham:
Match Win treble pays just over 13/1 (14.0+).
Both Teams to Score treble pays 11/2 (6.5) and 5/1 (6.0).
Win & BTTS treble pays 156/1 with Bet365, 125/1 and 100/1+ in general.
From the analysis above, here are my picks for this evening…
Blackburn v Millwall (Championship, 7.45pm)
Hull v Doncaster (League One, 7pm)
Bristol Rovers v Gillingham (League One, 7pm)
Man Utd v PSG (Champions League, 8pm)
Borussia Dortmund v Lazio (Champions League, 8pm)
I’ll be back tomorrow with a focus on match-day 5 in the Europa League.
Enjoy the football…
Best wishes,
