Our first Win & BTTS combo of the season - at 71/1...

In Across the Leagues today:

  • Premier League – Player Cards picks…
  • Win & Both Teams to Score selections…
  • Europa League next week…

Our first Win & BTTS combo of the season – at 71/1…

We started our season with a look at some of the most-carded men from 2023/24. And the latest form and/ or fixture match-ups suggest we should get behind a couple of those guys this weekend…

Coming up from the Championship to the Premier League this term, Ipswich captain Sam Morsy has continued to be a prolific card collector:

  • Morsy has been booked in 3 Premier League games in a row. That comes after Sam finished last season as the joint most-carded player in the whole of the Championship (read more here)

Ipswich go to fellow newly-promoted side Southampton this weekend. In the last meeting between these clubs, Morsy received a yellow card…

Bournemouth travel up to Liverpool on Saturday afternoon, and the Cherries will be looking to emulate what Nottingham Forest did last Saturday, and pull off a big away win at Anfield. That’s an outcome that’s pushing 9/1 with some firms. I’m more inclined to go with an appealing 4/1 Player Card pick here:

  • Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook is one to follow right now. He’s got 2 yellows already this season. And was also booked against Liverpool in their most recent meeting. The official Premier League stats show that so far in 2024/25, Cook has committed more Fouls than any other player in the division…

Premier League Player Stats Fouls

And in the big Super Sunday game on Sky Sports, Man City v Arsenal, which pits the top two teams from the last two Premier League seasons up against each other for the first time this campaign:

  • Kai Havertz was in our pre-season notes as one of the most-booked men in the English top-flight in 2023/24. The Arsenal forward has yet to see a yellow or red this term. But he was the Gunners’ most-carded player in the Premier League in 2023/24. And Havertz has been booked in 2 of his last 3 starts against Man City (one as a Chelsea player)

We’ll take these three men as singles in the Player to be Carded markets this weekend: Sam Morsy, Lewis Cook, and Kai Havertz

And with odds in the region of 40/1 for all three to get a Card, we’ll play these picks in a treble, too.

Our first EFL Win & BTTS picks of the season…

The English Football League (EFL) regularly churns out rollercoaster scorelines and end-to-end encounters. That’s a recipe for Win & Both Teams to Score (Win & BTTS) results…

We’ve done well from targeting these ‘Match Result and Both Teams to Score’ markets before, including several profitable doubles landed over the past few seasons.

With the 2024/25 form starting to build in the lower leagues, today is the day for our first Win & BTTS combo of the season…

  • The advice being a Trixie, which is made up of 3 doubles and a treble. I’ll be recording these as 1 point per line (eg. 4 pts staked per Trixie)

Expect many more of these selections to come throughout the campaign, with loads of fixtures to aim at in the Championship, League One, and League Two. And remember: with the big odds that are on offer for a full-house treble, it only takes one of these combinations to click to put us in a very happy place…

Here are this weekend’s selections. All Saturday 3pm kick-offs:

Rotherham v BIRMINGHAM
League One

BRADFORD v AFC Wimbledon
League Two

NOTTS COUNTY v Gillingham
League Two

These are the three top-rated teams for Win & BTTS payouts in the EFL so far this season…

  • Birmingham – Win & Both Teams to Score
  • Bradford – Win & Both Teams to Score
  • Notts County – Win & Both Teams to Score

The treble is worth 60/1+ with several firms (see below). And any two will pay 12/1+ for a winning double…
