In Across the Leagues today:
Yesterday’s 40/1 Nations League treble was closer than it looked. If you followed the scores live throughout the evening, you’ll know what I mean…
We went for three draws…
Denmark-Switzerland was 0-0 until the visitors got a red card in the second half…
Scotland-Poland was 2-2 on 90 + 6 minutes. The away team won it with a 97th-min penalty…
And Portugal-Croatia ended 2-1.
Elsewhere – congratulations to San Marino, who have finally won a game… after 20 years! The last time the minnows won a match? Well, that was also against last night’s opponents Lichtenstein, and also by the 1-0 Correct Score. It’s all so easy in hindsight…
We haven’t really got going with our new-season bets yet. We’re building up the pace, though. When the Premier League returns next weekend, we’ll be getting busy – and into ‘autumn football’ mode once the Champions League comes along with the midweek fixtures, too.
In terms of our big-odds selections, it’s tortoise and the hare stuff… one big one lands, and it’ll be glory days. We’ll be riding the rollercoaster this season, and looking to enjoy it.
This weekend sees a total of 13 English domestic fixtures take place across English League One and League Two, with the majority of them in the lower tier.
Let’s play the latest form with two multiples, and a pair of scorers…
NEWPORT to beat Port Vale
WREXHAM to beat Shrewsbury
BARROW to beat Swindon
WALSALL to beat MK Dons
Charlton v Rotherham – UNDER 2.5 Goals
Notts County v Accrington – OVER 2.5 Goals
Bradford v Carlisle – OVER 2.5 Goals
Barnsley v Bristol Rovers – ADAM PHILLIPS has chalked up 3 goals in his last 2 games, and is a decent price to register again for Barnsley…
Doncaster v Gillingham – LUKE MOLYNEUX is on top of the current 2024/25 scorer charts in League Two, with 4 goals to his name. The Doncaster man got a brace last time out in the league…
