Friday 27th November 2020
In Across the Leagues EXTRA today:
There’s a wide range of football on TV to choose from this weekend…
The Friday night action alone includes Crystal Palace v Newcastle in the Premier League (Amazon Prime Video). Wolfsburg v Werder Bremen in the German Bundesliga (BT Sport). And on the BBC this evening, Tranmere Rovers v non-league Brackley Town in the FA Cup 2nd Round.
For our Stat of the Week I’m going to the historical head-to-heads. If recent meetings are anything to go by, then Burnley are in for a very tough time of it at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon…
Man City v Burnley
Burnley have lost five of their opening eight games of the Premier League season. The most recent defeat being a 0-3 v Chelsea.
In this weekend’s Predictions table (see below), it’s unsurprisingly a clean sweep of picks for the City win, with 4-0, 4-0, and 3-0 the suggested scores.
The -2 Match Handicap is a bet that has landed in each of City’s last five home meetings with Burnley. That pays out if Pep Guardiola’s side win by 3+ goals.
TV Stat of the Week:

Here are our predictions for this weekend, along with Mark Lawrenson at the BBC.
When our Match Result predictions match up, my colleague Shaun & I roll these picks into an accumulator.
This week we have the same opinions on 5 of the 10 games…
Premier League Acca:
The 5-fold acca pays 12/1 with Boylesports, William Hill, 11/1 and 10/1 in general.
Man City v Burnley also comes up as a matching Correct Score selection for us…
And in the Monday Night Football coming up on Sky Sports, for West Ham v Aston Villa, we’re also agreed on the home team:
We’ll be back next week with more stats and predictions for you.
Enjoy the football…
