Weekend results
A mixed bag of results in the Premier League at the weekend...
Following the stats...
Southampton kept up their Under 2.5 Goals run with an 8th successive ‘Unders’ result (lost 1-0 at Everton). While Man Utd made it 9 out of 9 Home wins v Bottom Half sides this season with a 3-1 win over Aston Villa. On Monday night, Man City lost 2-1 at Crystal Palace – making it 7 Premier League Away games in a row without a Clean Sheet for City.
Against the stats...
But despite plenty of strong trends like those continuing at the weekend, there was no joy from the bets and prices that made the cut for our Picks. Last time out our selections produced 5 out of 6 winners for 13.66 pts profit, but it wasn’t our weekend this time with -6 pts from following the Picks to level stakes.
Stats Picks – looking to cash-in on the top-rated bets flagged up by the stats:
- Leicester v West Ham – Under 2.5 Goals @ Evens – LOST (2-1)
- Swansea v Hull – Swansea – To Win To Nil @ 2/1 – LOST (3-1)
- West Brom v QPR – West Brom – To Win To Nil @ 15/8 – LOST (1-4)
- Chelsea v Stoke – Under 2.5 Goals @ Evens – LOST (2-1)
At both Leicester and Chelsea we were one goal away from the Under 2.5 Goals results (thanks, Charlie Adam).
While QPR’s 4-1 win at West Brom goes down as genuinely one of the most surprising score-lines of the season. West Brom had only conceded 3 goals in total in their 5 previous Home games since Christmas.
Value Picks – our pick of the best value prices on offer:
- Swansea v Hull – Half Time/ Full Time – Draw/ Swansea @ 4/1 – LOST (HT/ FT = Swansea/ Swansea)
- Burnley v Tottenham – First Scorer – Harry Kane @ 9/2 – LOST (0-0, No Goalscorer)
From our bigger price selections, Swansea got the win v Hull but were 2-0 by Half Time, so no payout on the 4/1 HT Draw/ FT Win. Harry Kane was a standout 9/2 First Scorer pick at Burnley, but hardly had a sniff in a what was a pretty dull goalless draw.
- Since we introduced the Value Picks last month we’ve collected 2 payouts from 7 selections – at odds of 9/2 and 6/1 – for 5.5 pts profit to level stakes.
Coming up this week...
We’ll be targeting more of the Premier League top stats & trends, and value prices, in your weekend email on Friday afternoon.
This week Man Utd v Man City is the Big Game on the fixture list, which after the weekend results is 3rd plays 4th in the Premier League table.
And before then...
Don’t miss out on the racing at Aintree...
A 25/1 Grand National pointer...
It’s the Grand National this week – and our racing man Nick Pullen goes into the Aintree meeting in sensational form...
Members following Nick’s advice have landed 25/1 and 16/1 winners from the last two races that he’s covered on his Winning Race Profiles site. Including the 25/1 winner of the Irish Grand National yesterday...
- 28th March, Lincoln Handicap, Doncaster – GABRIAL – WON @ 16/1
- 6th April, Irish Grand National, Fairyhouse – THUNDER AND ROSES – WON @ 25/1
Don’t miss the next big winner...
This week Nick is targeting 9 races at Aintree from Thursday to Saturday, including of course the Grand National...
And his Winning Race Profiles service has a phenomenal track record in the National, with the winner named the last TWO YEARS running at HUGE prices:
- Grand National 2013, AURORAS ENCORE – WON @ 100/1
- Grand National 2014, PINEAU DE RE – WON @ 33/1
As you can see, Nick is a man worth listening to...
“Wow! Another great winner. Thanks for Thunder and Roses in the Irish National Nick. £5 E/W on both selections produced a profit of nearly £150 to go with the £90 profit from the Lincoln. Roll on Aintree”
Alan
