Taking a closer look at the stats...
Man City were the stars of the week, with Frank Lampard’s late goal landing the -1 Match Handicap bet. City have now landed that bet in 8 of their last 11 Away games.
Elsewhere, Villa were one Yellow Card short of putting us in profit for the week with our Card Handicap bet. But the stats weren’t too far off the mark: the Card score finished 2-2, and Chelsea now haven’t received the Most Cards in any of their last 12 Home games in the Premier League. While Villa kept up their average of 2 Cards per Away games this season.
Man Utd had won the Most Corners in their last 5 games at Old Trafford before the weekend – they were 1 corner ahead of West Ham before Wayne Rooney was Sent Off. West Ham went on to win 10 corners to United’s 7 – so no payout from the Man Utd -3 Corner Handicap bet on this occasion.
We’ll be identifying the strongest trends and top-rated stats for this weekend’s games in your next Prem10 Recommended Bets email this Friday...
Coming up – Chelsea v Arsenal this weekend
A full schedule of 10 games to look forward to this weekend, including Man Utd v Everton and Chelsea v Arsenal live on TV. The Chelsea-Arsenal game pits the Premier League’s only two unbeaten teams against each other and should be a cracker.
I’ll be back with your weekend Recommended Bets email on Friday (@ 1.00pm).
