Top trends so far - and your Prem10 Betting Guide...
Friday 4th September 2015
In your Prem10 email today:
- The season so far – standout stats and trends...
- Betting Guide – Goals, Corners, Cards & Booking Points bets explained...
- Next bets next week...
This weekend’s Euro 2016 Qualifiers mean we have a break in the Premier League schedule. The action gets back underway next week...
The gap in the schedule gives us the chance to take stock of a few standout stats from the season so far – with upcoming fixtures and betting opportunities in mind.
I’ve gone through all 20 teams and made a note of what’s been happening most often...
The season so far – standout stats and trends
These won’t all lead to bets. We only have four games’ worth of form in the book, so any trends are merely ‘developing’ trends right now. But these are all points for us to keep in our thoughts for next week’s games and beyond:
- Arsenal – have yet to score at Home (2 games). Both Home games have gone Under 2.5 Goals bets and both have paid out on Over 3.5 Cards bets. The next visitors to the Emirates are Stoke...
- Aston Villa – Under 10.5 Corners bets have paid out in 100% of Villa games so far (4 out of 4)
- Bournemouth – Over 3.5 Cards bets AND Over 4.5 Cards bets have paid out in 3 of the Premier League newcomer’s first 4 games
- Chelsea – the defending Champions have won just 1 of their first 4 games, and Over 2.5 Goals bets have paid out in all 4. With last season’s tightest defence breached at least twice (2 goals+ conceded) in every game. That’s most un-Chelsea and un-Mourinho like
- Crystal Palace – Over 2.5 Goals bets have paid out in 100% of Palace games, too. Including their 9/1 win at Chelsea last time out
- Everton – haven’t received the Most Cards/ Booking Points in any of their 4 games so far, Home or Away
- Leicester – Both Teams to Score bets have paid out in all 4 games
- Liverpool – Over 3.5 Cards bets AND Over 4.5 Cards bets have paid out in 100% of games so far
- Man City – are the only team with a 100% win record: played 4 won 4
- Man Utd – Under 2.5 Goals bets have paid out in 3 out of 4 Man Utd games, and United have kept Clean Sheets in 3 out of 4 games
- Newcastle – Over 3.5 Cards bets have paid out 4 times out of 4 so far
- Norwich – newly-promoted Norwich are yet to keep a Clean Sheet (4 games)
- Southampton – striker Graziano Pelle has landed First Scorer bets in 2 out of 4 games, most recently paying out at 5/1 v Norwich
- Stoke – have scored in both of their Away games, but failed to score in both of their Home games
- Sunderland – Both Teams to Score bets have paid out in all 4 games
- Swansea – Over 3.5 Cards bets have paid out in 100% of Swansea games so far, but Swansea haven’t received the Most Cards/ Booking Points in any of those 4 games
- Tottenham – Under 10.5 Corners bets have paid out in all 4 games
- Watford – Under 3.5 Cards bets have paid out in all 4 games
- West Brom – West Brom and Stoke are the only teams to have both lost their opening 2 Home games
- West Ham – the First Goal Time has been Before 27th Minute in 3 out of 4 West Ham games so far
Plenty of intriguing titbits there and I’ll be monitoring the stats to help identify the best betting opportunities every week of the season – starting with your Weekend Preview email next Friday.
