Rodgers and out…
Sunderland are on the hunt for a new boss after Dick Advocaat handed his notice in on Sunday morning. And by 7pm, news had been broke that Brendan Rodgers had been sacked by Liverpool.
Former Dortmund boss, Jurgen Kloop is currently odds-on to take over at Liverpool, with Sam Allardyce the favourite for the Sunderland job.

What the stats say after Week Eight…
Here’s a recap of some of the standout stats that featured in our Weekend Preview email on Friday, and the latest trends/ results in the Premier League:
Norwich 1 Leicester 2 – Both Teams to Score:
Both Teams to Score bets have now paid out in all 8 of Leicester’s PL (Premier League) games this season. Neither team has managed to keep a Clean Sheet in any of their games so far.
Stats Pick:
- Both Teams to Score @ 13/20 – WON
Bournemouth 1 Watford 1 – Total Corners:
Saturday’s game produced a total of 8 Corners. Bets on Under 10.5 Corners have paid out in 7 of Bournemouth’s 8 PL games – and the same goes for Watford.
Stats Pick:
- Under 10.5 Corners @ 8/11 – WON
Chelsea 1 Southampton 3 – Total Goals:
Chelsea have now conceded 2+ Goals in 7 of their 8 PL games. Backing Over 2.5 Goals has paid off in 7 of their 8 games so far.
Stats Pick:
- Over 2.5 Goals @ 94/100 - WON
Swansea 2 Tottenham 2 – Total Cards:
Both teams matched-up really well for an Over 3.5 Cards bet in this one, but the bookies’ set their marker at 4.5, so we avoided it. In the end the game produced 5 Cards…
Over 3.5 Cards bets have paid out in 100% (8 out of 8) of Swansea’s PL games, but that drops to 63% (5 out of 8) for Over 4.5 Cards bets.
Coming up this week…
The Premier League goes on hold for the Euro 2016 Qualifiers this weekend. Our next weekend bets email will be on Friday 16th October.
And before then, I’ll be in touch this Friday with a look at some of the standout stats and trends on show so far this season.
Until then,
Best wishes,
