The gap gives us the chance to take stock of a few standout stats from the season so far – with upcoming fixtures and betting opportunities in mind.
I’ve gone through all 20 teams and made a note of what’s been happening most often...
The season so far – standout stats and trends
These won’t all lead to bets. We only have eight games’ worth of form in the book, so any trends are merely ‘developing’ trends right now. But these are all points for us to keep in our thoughts for next week’s games and beyond:
- Arsenal – have only received the Most Cards/ Booking Points in 1 of their 8 games so far...
- Aston Villa – Under 10.5 Corners bets have paid out in 75% of Villa games so far (6 out of 8)
- Bournemouth – Under 2.5 Goals betshave paid out in all 4 of their Home games
- Chelsea – the defending Champions have won just 2 of their first 8 games, with Over 2.5 Goals bets paying out in 7 of those 8 games
- Crystal Palace – the First Goal time has been After 27th Minute in 7 of their 8 games so far, including all 4 of their Away games
- Everton – haven’t received the Most Cards/ Booking Points in any of their 4 Home games so far
- Leicester – Both Teams to Score bets have paid out in all 8 games
- Liverpool – Over 3.5 Cards bets AND Over 4.5 Cards bets have paid out in 3 of their 4 Away games
- Man City – have scored in every game so far, bets on City to cover a -3 Corner Handicap have paid out in all 4 of their Home games
- Man Utd – Under 10.5 Corners bets have paid out in 7 of their 8 games
- Newcastle – are yet to win this season (D3 L5), they’ve conceded at least 1 goal in 7 of their 8 games – and are the lowest Away scorers with just 1 goal in their 4 games
- Norwich – newly-promoted Norwich are yet to keep a Clean Sheet (8 games), with Both Teams to Score bets paying out in 7 of their 8 games
- Southampton – have received the Most Cards/ Booking Points in 6 of their 8 games
- Stoke – have been out-cornered in all 4 of their Away games
- Sunderland – like North East rivals Newcastle, Sunderland are yet to win this season (D3 L5), conceding in all 8 games
- Swansea – Over 3.5 Cards bets have paid out in 100% of Swansea games (8 out of 8)
- Tottenham – have won the Most Corners in 7 out of 8 games so far
- Watford – Under 10.5 Corners bets have paid out in 7 of their 8 games – including all 4 Home games
- West Brom – all 4 of their Away games have gone Under 2.5 Goals
- West Ham – the First Goal Time has been Before 27th Minute in 7 out of 8 games – including all 4 Home games
Plenty of intriguing titbits there and I’ll be monitoring the stats to help identify the best betting opportunities every week of the season.
