Review - 3/1 payout and a big week ahead...
Monday 18th April 2016
In your Prem10 – Review email today:
- King lands 3/1+ winner...
- What the stats say after Week 34...
- Coming up this week...
What goes around comes around...
A couple of weeks ago a 95th minute goal stopped us from landing a 9/4 payout at Sunderland...
Yesterday it was our turn to get some injury-time joy, with Josh King’s late goal for Bournemouth settling both our main Over 2.5 Goals pick @ Evens (2.00) and our more speculative 100/30 (4.33) Anytime Scorer selection...
King lands 3/1+ winner...
Bournemouth 1 Liverpool 2
Josh King has now scored 3 of Bournemouth’s 6 goals in their last 5 games. And considering he has now landed Anytime Scorer bets in 4 of his last 6 appearances, odds of 3/1+ (4.00+) were great value for us on Sunday.
- I split my Anytime Scorer stakes between Bournemouth forward King @ 100/30 (4.33) and defender Steve Cook @ 14/1 (15.00). If you followed my Picks then that tactic paid off with an overall profit for the week
What the stats say after Week 34...
Some strong trends standout this week – especially in the Cards markets:
On best behaviour...
- Everton 1 Southampton 1 (Everton 1 Yellow Card)... Everton have now received 1 Yellow Card or Less in 12 of their last 13 games
- Arsenal 1 Crystal Palace 1 (Arsenal No Yellow Cards)... Arsenal have received No Cards in 3 of their last 4 games – receiving a total of just 1 Yellow Card in that period
A good Friend...
- Man Utd 1 Aston Villa 0 (Total Cards = 1 Yellow) – Under 3.5 Cards bets have now paid out in 11 of the last 13 Premier League games that Referee Kevin Friend has taken charge of
Goals galore...
- Bournemouth 1 Liverpool 2 – Over 2.5 Goals bets have now paid out in 6 consecutive Bournemouth games
- Bournemouth 1 Liverpool 2 – Liverpool have now scored 2+ goals in each of their last 6 games v sides below them in the table
- Chelsea 0 Man City 3 – Over 2.5 Goals bets have paid out in 7 of Man City’s last 10 games
- Leicester 2 West Ham 2 – Both Teams to Score bets have paid out in 6 of West Ham’s last 8 games, with the Hammers scoring AND conceding 2 or more goals in each of their last 5 games
With the end of season approaching – and some teams having more to play (or fight) for than others – I’ll be looking for value opportunities for us on teams like Arsenal and Everton in the Most Cards markets.
The numbers above suggest we should keep an eye on the betting options for the upcoming games – interestingly Everton travel to Anfield for the Merseyside derby v Liverpool on Wednesday night, while Arsenal are at Home to West Brom in their rearranged game on Thursday...
Both encounters are live on Sky Sports so we should see plenty of markets available with the bookies. Let’s see if the prices fit, too...
Coming up this week…
There are actually Premier League games taking place on five out of six days between now and Saturday, with the Monday night game this evening followed by a midweek schedule of teams catching up on their games in hand:
Tonight
Stoke v Tottenham (Sky Sports)
Tuesday
Newcastle v Man City (Sky Sports)
Wednesday
West Ham v Watford
Liverpool v Everton (Sky Sports)
Man Utd v Crystal Palace
Thursday
Arsenal v West Brom (Sky Sports)
And there are games at the weekend, too...
Plenty for us to look at – I’ll be back on Wednesday with any midweek Picks that catch the eye, followed by with our usual search for the best weekend prices on Friday.
Until then,
Best wishes,

Oliver Upstone
