Goal machine Vardy lands 11/4 payout...
The stats are starting to come good for us, with 5 winners from our 6 betting Picks over the last two rounds of Premier League games.
Leicester and Jamie Vardy provided the weekend highlights for us – the 2-2 draw at Southampton producing an Over 2.5 Goals winner, and yet another Anytime Scorer payout for Vardy...
Jamie Vardy has now scored in 6 consecutive league games, and is the Top Scorer in the division with 9 goals (from 9 games played).
He’s also our top-rated Anytime Scorer player, landing that bet in 7 out of 9 games:
- Backing Vardy Anytime Scorer in every game at average odds of 2/1 has produced 12 pts profit for a 133% ROI
Looking at the recent prices, I’ve been a bit conservative with that average price of 2/1 (3.00). We got 11/4 (3.75) for our Value Pick on Vardy at the weekend – and before that Vardy was a best price 23/10 (3.30) when he found the net at Norwich.
- Vardy also featured in our Spotlight email last week – I’ll be identifying more moneymaking stats and trends in this week’s Spotlight article on Wednesday
What the stats say after Week Nine…
Here’s a recap of some of the standout stats that featured in our Weekend Preview email on Friday, and the latest trends/ results in the Premier League:
Watford 0 Arsenal 3 – Total Goals:
We were right to avoid Watford’s Under 2.5 Goals trend for this one, with Arsenal scoring 3 times in the second half. Alexis Sanchez opened the scoring – the Arsenal striker has now scored in six consecutive games in all competitions for club & country. Arsenal have scored 11 goals in their last 3 Premier League games.
Crystal Palace 1 West Ham 3 – Time of First Goal:
We looked at a set of contrasting First Goal Time stats in this one (making it a ‘No Bet’ game as far as our Picks were concerned), and it was the West Ham trend that continued. Bets on the Time of First Goal – Before 27th Minute have now paid out in 8 out of 9 West Ham games. It took them just 22 minutes to open the scoring here. Incidentally, bets on the Half Time Draw have now paid out in each of Palace’s last 7 Premier League games.
Chelsea 2 Aston Villa 0 – Total Goals:
Over 2.5 Goals bets had paid out in 7 out of 8 Chelsea games going into this, but the reigning champions kept just their second Clean Sheet of the season.
Stats Pick:
- Over 2.5 Goals @ 17/25 – LOST
Southampton 2 Leicester 2 – Total Goals:
Over 2.5 Goals bets have paid out in 100% of Southampton Home games (5 out of 5), and Both Teams to Score has paid out in 100% of Leicester’s Premier League games – 9 times out of 9. We landed an Over 2.5 Goals payout here.
Stats Pick:
- Over 2.5 Goals @ 5/6 – WON
Southampton 2 Leicester 2 – Anytime Scorer:
As mentioned above, Jamie Vardy continued his exceptional scoring streak with another 2 goals – giving us an 11/4 winner for our bigger-price Value Pick selections.
Value Pick:
- Anytime Scorer – Jamie Vardy @ 11/4 – WON
