Weekend Picks - 3/1 Marko to strike again...
Thursday 31st December 2015
In your Prem10 – Picks email today:
- This week’s standout stats & prices...
- 3/1 Marko to strike again…
- Half Time stats standout at Palace…
As New Year approaches, we reach the halfway point in the Premier League season. The stats lead us to two selections for the ‘New Year’ fixtures on Saturday and Sunday – see below for my analysis and picks.
We weren’t able to follow up our Boxing Day hat-trick midweek, but if you’re following our Picks then you’ll be in profit so far over the Christmas period.
The highlight of the Holiday Season so far for us was a 3/1 Anytime Scorer payout on Watford’s Odion Ighalo at Chelsea. This weekend another in-form striker looks great value at 3/1…
Having studied all the prices and markets, here’s my opinion of the best betting value this weekend...
Starting on Saturday afternoon with Stoke, who have won 2 out of 2 games over Christmas…
3/1 Marko to strike again…
West Brom v Stoke – Anytime Scorer
- Marko Arnautovic is Stoke’s top scorer this season – with 35% of their Premier League goals
- Arnautovic has landed Anytime Scorer bets in 3 of Stoke’s last 5 games
The big Stoke striker looks great value here at 3/1…
Arnautovic got the winning goal at Everton in the week form the Penalty spot, and before that scored with a thunderbolt from outside the box in a 2-0 win over Man Utd on Boxing Day. He also terrorised the Man City defence recently and looks a generous price to continue his good scoring form at West Brom…
Anytime Scorer – Marko Arnautovic – best price 3/1 (4.00) with Ladbrokes, Stan James and Boylesports. |
There are stacks of highly-rated stats and bets in the Premier League – but we don’t always get the chance to back them at a value price...
- For example, Man Utd v Swansea is a ‘top v bottom’ match-up on our Most Corners stats – but Man Utd are short odds-on at just 1/4 (1.25) to win the Corners Match Bet. We can get more attractive prices and better value elsewhere…
The Half Time market catches the eye for the Sky Sports game on Sunday lunchtime…
Half Time stats standout at Palace…
Crystal Palace v Chelsea (TV) – Half Time Draw
- Half Time Draw bets have paid out in 8 out of 10 Palace Home games (80%)
- Half Time Draw bets have paid out in 7 of Chelsea’s last 10 Premier League games
The stats say we shouldn’t be surprised by a slow start in this one, with the First Half Result – Draw looking the standout bet…
Palace have had more Half Time Draws than any other Premier League team this season, and a Chelsea side with 2 drawn games to their name over Christmas under new boss Guus Hiddink are a decent match-up for that trend here.
In fact, a goalless 90 minutes isn’t out of the question with Palace drawing their last 2 games 0-0, and Chelsea playing out 2 goalless draws in their last 6 league fixtures.
The Half Time Draw is one of the stats match-ups of the week, and general odds of Even Money are a fair price. Best price 11/10 (2.10) with Stan James, Boylesports, Evens+ (2.00+) in general. |
