WEEKEND STATS REVIEW

8 in a row for Watford...

The Total Corners stats dominated my research last week – it’s a good market for Under/ Over bets and this season’s stats are showing plenty of strong trends...

Last week I flagged up six games with highly-rated match-ups. Of those six, the four Under 10.5 Corners trends all continued on Saturday.

That included West Ham keeping up their 100% home record for Under 10.5 Corners bets (7 out of 7 home games now). In fact, there were more goals than corners in that game, with Arsenal beating West Ham 5-1 – and a Total Corners tally of just 5.

And also in the Premier League, Watford continued their eye-catching run of corners results...

West Brom v WatfordUnder 10.5 Corners made the cut for one of my three weekend Picks, and that one came in with a total of just 7 corner kicks (with West Brom winning the game 3-1).

That bet has now paid out in each of Watford’s last 8 league games, and keeps them top of our Premier League – Under 10.5 Corners standings (see below).

Leeds Utd v Aston Villa was my other corners Pick, but the 9 corners in that one fell 2 short of the total needed to land Over 10.5 Corners.

My weekend ‘Eye-catcher’ selection delivered in that game though, with Leeds’ top scorer Chris Wood scoring the second goal in a 2-0 win to land standout Anytime Scorer odds of 2/1 (3.00).

Wood now has 10 Anytime Scorer payouts from 19 appearances – more than any other player in the Championship.

It was a profitable weekend overall for my Picks with Stevenage v Doncaster living up to the billing I gave it as the best Goals match-up of the entire English fixture list. It ended 4-3 to Doncaster, with Over 2.5 Goals settled before half time.

Over 2.5 Goals bets have now paid out in 10 of Doncaster’s last 11 games – putting them top of our League Two standings for that market.

  • For the season overall, my Picks are showing a 19% ROI to level stakes

Champions League tomorrow...

Christmas is coming – and there’s football on pretty much every day this month...

The weekend Premier League fixture list is rounded off by Middlesbrough v Hull tonight (Sky Sports) – and there’s also Lincoln v Oldham in the FA Cup 2nd Round on BT Sport this evening.

Tuesday & Wednesday sees Match-day Six of the Champions League – live on BT Sport – with the final set of Group games deciding the 16 teams that go through to the Knockout stage in the New Year.

There’s also Newport v Stevenage in League Two on Tuesday night, 13 EFL Trophy games midweek – and Brighton v Leeds Utd in the Championship on Friday night on Sky Sports.

All followed by a full set of weekend games in the Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two at the weekend...

Before that, I’ll be concentrating on the Champions League action midweek, with your next Picks & Analysis email on Tuesday.

Tomorrow night’s games include Basel v Arsenal, Barcelona v Borussia Monchengladbach Man City v Celtic.

See you tomorrow...

Best wishes,

Oliver Upstone
