Champions League stats deliver...
Last week’s Champions League Final stats preview pointed out a few winning trends...
Cristiano Ronaldo landed both First Scorer and Anytime Scorer – with his 2 goals in the Final winning him the Golden Boot for the second season running, too.
Ronnie’s goals helped his Real Madrid side to a 4-1 win over Juventus, a score-line that maintained Madrid’s 100% Champions League record for Over 2.5 Goals payouts this season (13 out of 13 games).
Also, 10 of the last 12 Champions League Finals have now provided Both Teams to Score payouts.
The Corners tally was a low-scoring 1-1, but Juventus won the Most Cards and Most Booking Points pretty comfortably thanks to a Red Card in the second half.
Scotland v England this weekend...
The domestic season is over now but we have World Cup 2018 Qualifiers taking place this weekend, including Scotland v England on Saturday teatime (5pm)...
England are 8/11 (1.73) favourites to win. I usually stay away from Away Wins at odds-on prices, but the stats do make a decent case for England here – they’ve won 8 of the last 10 meetings, including each of the last 3 played in Scotland.
Stick with the Spurs boys...
On the search for bigger and better prices, it could pay to stick with the Spurs boys – striker Harry Kane and midfielder Dele Alli...
Kane (29 goals) and Alli (18 goals) were the two top-scoring English players in the Premier League this season, with Kane collecting the Golden Boot for the second season running.
As with Ronaldo last week, sometimes there is a strong case for backing the favourite in the Scorer markets. And Kane in particular fits that bill...
Kane ended the season with 9 goals in his last 5 games. And since Christmas, he’s racked up 13 Anytime Scorer payouts and 8 First Scorer payouts in 23 games in all comps.
- This weekend Kane is a best price 11/8 (2.38) Anytime Scorer and 19/5 (4.80) First Scorer with BetVictor
His Tottenham teammate Dele Alli was the top-scoring midfielder in the Premier League this season. Finishing the campaign with a noteworthy 5 Anytime Scorer returns from his last 10 games, along with 2 First Scorer payouts...
- Alli is a best price 5/2 (3.50) Anytime Scorer and 13/2 (7.50) First Scorer with BetVictor
P.S
If you’re looking for more of a treat with the prices, then check out this Harry Kane ‘Enhanced Odds’ 20/1 offer with Coral...
Enjoy the game – it’s live on ITV at 5pm Saturday.
I’ll be back soon, with news of our Across the Leagues plans & improvements for the summer and the upcoming 2017/18 season.
Best wishes,
