4 in a row for Morris...
Scunthorpe 1 Northampton 1
There was talk of a sore hamstring ahead of this game, but Scunthorpe’s Josh Morris impressed once again on Saturday...
Morris scored another top-corner, long-range effort – this time from a free kick – to add to his left-foot curler last weekend.
From a betting point of view, that is now 4 Anytime Scorer payouts in a row from Morris.
Putting him miles ahead in the League One Top Scorer chart (12 goals from 12 games), and in top spot on our Anytime Scorer table with 9 payouts from 12 appearances (75% strike-rate) – see below.
Odds as big as 21/10 (3.10) looked great value, and our Weekend Pick on Morris came in after 44 minutes.
Swings & roundabouts...
Accrington Stanley 1 Cheltenham 1
Last weekend an 89th minute Yellow Card for Bournemouth meant one of my Weekend Picks was a loser. This time things went the other way, with 10-men Cheltenham grabbing an 89th minute equaliser and landing the Both Teams to Score bet...
The bigger picture is that if we keep backing value prices, the long term returns will go our way.
That Both Teams to Score result kept up both sides’ strong Home/ Away stats – with Accrington at home and Cheltenham away now both having 83% records for that bet (5 games out of 6 respectively).
The bookies’ prices said that game as a 50/50 one for Both Teams to Score, but the stats made it more likely – we found the value price and got the payout.
- So far this season, my Picks are showing a 27% ROI to level stakes

Top trends from Across the Leagues...
Due to the International break, there were only games played in League One and League Two at the weekend.
Here are some of the standout stats from those divisions, as showing on your Across the Leagues site right now...
- League One – Gillingham 1 Oldham 2... Gillingham maintained their 100% home record for Both Teams to Score bets (6 games out of 6). With an overall season strike-rate of 83% (10 games out of 12)
- League One – Scunthorpe 1 Northampton 1... Northampton are joint-top of our League One table for Over 10.5 Corners bets (75%). And after the 15 Total Corners in this game, their away record for that bet stays at 100%
- League One – MK Dons 0 Port Vale 1... The Sunday afternoon game on Sky Sports saw a total of 7 Yellow Cards – more than enough to keep Port Vale top of our League One leader-board for Over 3.5 Cards bets (92%)
- League One – Rochdale 3 Southend 0... Rochdale’s 5th win in a row makes them the form side in League One, now up to 7th in the table. While Southend’s 2 Yellow Cards to Rochdale’s none means Southend remain our top-rated Most Bookings team, with a 100% away record for that bet, and 75% overall
- League Two – Hartlepool 1 Crawley 1... Another Both Teams to Score result for Hartlepool – they are top of our League Two standings for that bet, with 10 payouts from 12 games this season (83%)
- League Two – Leyton Orient 0 Portsmouth 1... Portsmouth won the corners count 7-3 here, keeping them top for Most Corners bets with a strong 83% strike-rate (10 games from 12)
- League Two – Colchester 0 Newport 0... A single Yellow Card for Newport was enough to land Most Bookings bets in this one, with Newport ranked #1 for that bet in League Two with an 80% record (Most Bookings in 10 out of 12 games)
Those are just 7 of the trends showing on our site right now...

Until then,
Best wishes,
