Welcome to your ATL Extra weekend email...
Every Friday afternoon we look at a big game on the weekend fixture list, and highlight some of the unique betting stats from over on our Across the Leagues website.
And of course, along the way we’ll be looking to find a good few winning bets...
I also offer up my own Premier League Predictions every weekend, and you have the chance to join in, too – see below.

In terms of the Match Result betting you can read the form any which way you like here:
Man City are the form team in the Premier League with 4 wins and a draw from their last 5. And Liverpool have won on just one of their last 7 league visits to the Etihad...
However, that solitary win was a 4-1 victory last season. And home & away combined, Liverpool are unbeaten against City in their 5 most recent meetings in all comps.
On top of that, the Reds have a good record against fellow Top Six sides this season – unbeaten against Chelsea, Tottenham, Man Utd, Arsenal and Man City so far.
In the race for Champions League qualification, Man City are a point above Liverpool in 3rd and with a game in hand. After being knocked out of the Champions League midweek, this already massive fixture takes on an even greater significance for City and Pep Guardiola.
I’ve gone for a high-scoring 2-2 draw (12/1 in the Correct Score market). See below for all my Premier League Predictions.
Elsewhere in the formbook & stats...
- Man City and Liverpool are the Top 2 ranked teams in the Premier League for Most Corners bets. And are also the Top 2 for the Total number of corner kicks won. As the home side, the bookies make City the favourites for the Most Corners at 4/5 (1.80), with Liverpool 2/1 (3.00) underdogs
- In the Scorer betting, Sergio Aguero is odds-on favourite in the Anytime Scorer list at around 10/11 (1.91). He’s landed that bet in 4 of his last 6 games in all comps for City. However, Aguero has failed to find the net against the Top Six so far this season. And if you’d backed him to level stakes at this weekend’s price in all 21 league appearances, you’d only have landed 8 payouts (and be 5 pts down)
A less obvious but more profitable Scorer option could prove to be Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum...
Wijnaldum has a knack of coming up with big goals, scoring the equaliser against Burnley last week (won 2-1), the killer third goal against Arsenal (won 3-1) and the equaliser against Chelsea (1-1).
All 3 of those strikes came in his last 5 games. And with Paddy Power sticking their neck out and offering industry best prices of 6/1 (7.00) Anytime Scorer and 18/1 (19.00) First Scorer – he represents a bit of value here. In comparison, Wijnaldum is as short as 7/2 (4.50) and 10/1 (11.00) elsewhere in those respective markets.
