WEEKEND STATS REVIEW

One winner and one loser from my weekend Picks. Liverpool won the Most Corners in their 1-2 defeat against Crystal Palace (Corners =4-3), but were 3 short of covering the -3 Corner Handicap.

No such problems for Swansea though, who beat Stoke 2-0 and won the Most Corners, 11-4 – more than enough to beat the -2.5 and -2 Corner Handicap.

Elsewhere, Huddersfield and Coventry kept up their recent impressive stats (see below), taking our Top-Rated Match-Ups strike-rate to 14 out of 18 in April.

Top trends from Across the Leagues...

Here are some of the standout trends and winning streaks, currently showing in the updated stats on our site

  • Swansea 2 Stoke 0 – Swansea continue to be the best team outside of the Top 6 in the Premier League for Most Corners bets. Their home record for that bet is now 76% for the season, with 12 payouts from their last 13 home games
  • Coventry 1 Walsall 0 – Coventry may already be relegated from League One but they continue to prove a reliable Under 2.5 Goals team. That bet has now paid out in 10 of their last 11 league games – and the same goes for Walsall
  • Huddersfield 1 Fulham 4 – Huddersfield were well beaten here but remain dominant at home on the corners… a 6-0 corners win here means Huddersfield have now won the Most Corners in a remarkable (and unrivalled) 91% of Championship home games (20 out of 22)

This week’s football...

The end-of-season run-in promises plenty of excitement across the leagues…

This week we have important midweek action in the Premier League – with a handful of ‘games in hand’ including three games live on TV. The attention-grabbing one being Man City v Man Utd on Thursday night (Sky Sports).

There are also a couple of midweek Football League fixtures, and as ever, Head-2-Head stats comparisons will be available on our site come match-day.

I’ll be back with my own take on the stats, markets and prices in your Weekend Picks & Analysis email on Friday morning – there’s a full Premier League & Football League weekend schedule to look forward to.

The Champions League semi finals are just around the corner too, kicking off next Tuesday.

The next few weeks should be fun…

Best wishes,

Oliver Upstone
