WEEKEND STATS REVIEW

Rovers make it 5 on the trot...

My weekend Pick was Doncaster Rovers to win at Yeovil, at odds of 11/10 (2.10). Rovers travelled back up to Doncaster with all 3 points, after a comprehensive 3-0 win.

That was Rovers’ 5th straight win, keeping them clear at the top of the League Two table. And they’ve scored 3 goals in each of their last 4 games (3-1, 3-1, 3-1 and 3-0 wins).

Top trends from Across the Leagues...

After that rare foray into the standard Match Result market, I thought I’d use today’s Stats Review to focus on other teams whose winning streaks (or losing streaks) continued at the weekend.

There were games in the Championship, League One and League Two. And the Latest Form pages on our site show these teams in particular have been providing regular Match Result payouts recently...

  • Rotherham 0 Barnsley 1 – Rotherham are 9 points adrift at the bottom of the Championship and have now lost 4 of their last 5 games. View the Championship Last 5 Form
  • Scunthorpe 3 Port Vale 2 – Scunthorpe came from 0-1 and 1-2 down to win 3-2, preserving their unbeaten home record and staying top of League One. That was Scunthorpe’s 3rd win a row, and all 3 have paid out in the Win & Both Teams to Score market (3-2, 2-1 and 3-2 wins). View the League One Last 5 Form
  • Portsmouth 0 Exeter 1 – Exeter are now on a 5-game winning streak in League Two – matching Doncaster on Last 5 Form – climbing to just 3 points behind Portsmouth in the race for the Playoff places. Exeter’s last 4 wins have all paid out in the Win To Nil market (1-0, 3-0, 3-0, 4-0 wins)
  • Mansfield 2 Leyton Orient 0 – At the other end of the League Two table, Leyton Orient have now lost 4 in a row, and are second bottom of the league. While mid-table Mansfield are going well right now, with 4 wins from their last 5

Premier League tomorrow...

The FA Cup 4th Round meant there were no Premier League games at the weekend – but we have a full midweek fixture list to look forward to instead...

Including Liverpool v Chelsea (Tue) and West Ham v Man City (Wed) live on BT Sport.

There are 10 top-flight games in total across Tuesday & Wednesday, and I’ll be searching out the best of the stats & prices in your Picks & Analysis email tomorrow afternoon.

The lower leagues are in midweek action too, with games across the Championship, League One and League Two.

Followed by a full house of fixtures across all four divisions at the weekend...

  • I’ll be in touch with my Picks & Analysis on Tuesday, and then again on Friday

Plenty of football to enjoy this week then, and plenty of standout stats to work with as the hunt for winners continues....

See you tomorrow,

Best wishes,

Oliver Upstone
