Welcome to your ATL Extra weekend email...

We’re approaching the final straight in the Premier League, and the big games keep on coming...

Spurs and Man Utd face off in this weekend’s Super Sunday game...

THE BIG GAME – Tottenham Hotspur v Man Utd

Premier League, Sun 4.30pm – Sky Sports

Match odds:

Tottenham 8/11 (1.73)      Draw 14/5 (3.80)     Man Utd 4/1 (5.00)

As ever, I find it hard to get excited about a short price Home Win...

Tottenham have won 13 Premier League home games in a row, sure. But they have only won 3 of their last 10 meetings with Man Utd. And after a 1-0 defeat at West Ham last weekend – this could prove a tricky one.

Spurs do have some other strong stats at White Hart Lane though – and this will be their last league game in the old stadium...

Looking at the alternative markets to the Match Result betting, the stats on our Across the Leagues members-only website tell us that:

Corners:

  • Tottenham are ranked No.2 for the season on our Premier League Most Corners stats, with a 78% home record
  • At home, Spurs are averaging 4.9 corners per game more than opponents
  • Tottenham -2 Corner Handicap bets have paid out in 7 of their last 8 Premier League games at White Hart Lane
  • In comparison, Man Utd’s away Most Corners record is 47%, and they were out-cornered 3-8 by Spurs in the reverse fixture back in December

Cards & Bookings:

  • In the Total Cards market, the bookies are betting Under or Over 4.5 Cards. That line is a tricky one – our stats show 4 of both teams’ last 5 home/ away games respectively have gone Under 4.5... but the history books tell us that 4 of the last 5 meetings between Spurs & Man Utd have gone Over 4.5. And just to drum home the straight-down-the-middle message, appointed Referee Jonathan Moss is averaging 4.3 Total Cards per Premier League game

Goals:

  • It’s a similar case in the Total Goals market... Man Utd are our No.1 ranked team in the top flight for Under 2.5 Goals this season, but Over 2.5 Goals has paid out in 5 of Spurs’ last 6 at home

With all those stats in mind, the Corners markets look the best hunting ground for Sunday’s game...

Goals, Corners, Cards & Booking Points markets for Tottenham v Man Utd are available with a range of bookies including William Hill and Bet365.

TOP 10 TABLES – 9 out of 10 for the champions elect...

The stats are a huge part of everything we do. And the FREE Top 10 Tables on our website give you a great helping hand when it comes to finding weekend bet opportunities...

The tables gather together some of the unique betting stats from inside our OPTA-powered site, showcasing the current top-performing teams across the Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two combined. In the following betting markets:

  • Match Results
  • Under 2.5 Goals
  • Over 2.5 Goals
  • Both Teams to Score

For example, Over 2.5 Goals bets have paid out in 9 of Chelsea’s last 10 Premier League games. The champions elect play at West Brom tonight, then at home v Watford on Monday...
