Reds on the Corners...
Liverpool v Tottenham
Premier League, Sun 4.30pm – Sky Sports
- Liverpool have won the Most Corners in 7 of their last 8 games
We had a -2 Corner Handicap winner on Liverpool at Huddersfield on Tuesday night, and this weekend the stats make them a good proposition with a smaller -1 Corner Handicap to overcome at Home v Tottenham...
Liverpool are ranked 2nd on our Premier League table for Most Corners payouts, including 9 out of 12 corners wins at Anfield (75%).

Liverpool have won the Most Corners in 7 of their last 8 league games, and beaten a -1 Corner Handicap (winning 2+ corners more than opponents) in 5 of their last 6.
Tottenham are strong corner winners at ‘Home’ (Wembley for now), but their Away figures are poor this season...
Spurs have won the Most Corners in just 4 of their 12 Away games (33%), and in just one of their last 5 on the road.
They’ve travelled to three fellow Top 6 sides so far and been out-cornered each time – 5-1 at Man City, 7-4 at Arsenal and 6-3 at Man Utd. And considering Spurs lost all 3 of those games, you can’t make a case for them ‘sitting back’ – in each case they were behind on the score-board and needed to go forward in search of goals (with corners often being a by-product of shots saved and crosses blocked).
Liverpool are winning an average of 3.9 corners per Home game more than opponents, so you can see why some bookies have put the Corner Handicap line at the higher -2 corners. Liverpool -1 Corner Handicap is available with plenty of firms though and that looks a good option for us.
Liverpool -1 Corner Handicap is a best price 10/11 (1.91) with Skybet, 20/23 (1.87) BetVictor, 5/6 (1.83) William Hill. |
- Also available – Liverpool -1.5 Corner Handicap (the same bet with a different name) at 4/5 (1.80) with Bet365, 888 Sport, Unibet, Marathonbet
Goals value at Bristol Rovers...
Bristol Rovers v Shrewsbury
League One, Sat 3pm
- Over 2.5 Goals has paid out in 5 of Bristol Rovers’ last 6 Home games
Last weekend we got a value price of 5/4 (2.25) on Over 2.5 Goals for Bradford v AFC Wimbledon in League One – this weekend we can get a similar price on another promising stats match-up in that division...
That price makes Over 2.5 Goals the underdog in the Total Goals Under/ Over market, but the form makes a case for goals at the Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
Five of Rovers’ last 6 Home games have gone Over 2.5 Goals, as have 3 of their last 4 overall. On our site, Rovers are ranked No.1 in League One for that bet, with a season-long Home strike-rate of 79% (11 out of 14 games).
Rovers are 11th in the table and face Shrewsbury who are 3rd and looking for promotion...
Three of Shrewsbury’s last 5 games have seen 3+ goals scored – and they put 4 past Rovers in the return fixture earlier this season.
The Clean Sheets and Scored In stats on our site paint a picture for goals in this one, too. Rovers have scored in 86% of Home games but kept but kept just 2 Clean Sheets from 14 at the Memorial stadium. Shrewsbury have scored in 80% of Away games but kept just 3 Clean Sheets from 15 on the road.
The price looks good for goals here.
Over 2.5 Goals is a best price 5/4 (2.25) with Coral, BetVictor, Marathonbet, 6/5 (2.20) Bet365, Ladbrokes, William Hill, Betfred, Stan James. |
