The best thing about the Champions League…
There are plenty of reasons to be excited about the return of the UEFA Champions League next week…
The theme tune – yep. Dur-dur-dur-dur-dur-durrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
The fact that some of this season’s Group games sound like they could be a semi final or final: see Barcelona v Juventus… Bayern Munich v PSG… Chelsea v Atletico Madrid…
But the main thing I’m excited about is THE STATS.
The Champions League contains 32 teams. About a third of these are the Big Boys… Familiar Foes… call them what you will, the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have proved to be very reliable and profitable in Europe in the stats markets – season after season.
Take a look at these two standout trends from the Champions League 2016/17:
- Over 2.5 Goals bets paid out in 100% of Real Madrid games (13 out of 13 games)
- Bayern Munich landed -1 Corner Handicap bets in 90% of games (9 out of 10 games)
Many of the top teams have dominant, solid stats trends like these – creating plenty of opportunities for us to cash-in on the Champions League Group games and Knockout stages, throughout the new season.
The lesser-known teams also have key stats that we need to be aware of going into each round of games…
