Every Monday we take a look at the latest stats and results – catching up on the performance of our picks, and drawing attention to particularly eye-catching teams, players or trends.
Goals and games were in short supply...
It was a quiet weekend in the leagues. With the FA Cup 3rd Round taking the limelight, there were just 4 games in League One and 4 in League Two. Things pick up again this week though with a full set of fixtures to look forward to – see below.
Our weekend Picks & Analysis highlighted Oxford v Blackpool and Charlton v Oldham as two good match-ups for games with goals in League One. But as it turned out, they were the two lowest-scoring games in the division on Saturday.
Oxford beat Blackpool 1-0 – Oxford’s Home Over 2.5 Goals rating on our website drops from 77% to 71%.
Charlton beat Oldham 1-0 – Oldham remain the top team in League One for Both Teams to Score with a 70% overall record, but failed to find the net on this occasion.

The data on our site highlights many prolific and profitable trends in the stats markets.
For example, after the weekend games:
- Northampton 3 Southend 1 – there were 6 corners in this game, the 8th consecutive Northampton game to go Under 10.5 Corners. The Cobblers now have a 79% Home record for that bet with 11 payouts from 14 games at Sixfields. Overall they are ranked 6th in League One for Under 10.5 Corners
- Forest Green 1 Port Vale 0 – Under 2.5 Goals bets have paid out in 4 of Port Vale’s last 5 games in League Two, and their Away strike-rate for that bet is now up to 71% (10 out of 14 games)
- Accrington Stanley 4 Chesterfield 0 – Accrington had a spell of ‘low goals’ games before Christmas, but since 23rd December they’ve returned to their earlier season form with 4 straight Over 2.5 Goals results. Four is the magic number for Stanley: they are 4th in League Two, ranked 4th in the division for Over 2.5 Goals bets and are also 4th on our Totals tables for Goals Scored & Shots on Target

After just 8 league games on the fixture list last weekend, we’re back in business this week with 46 games on the schedule...
That’s more like it.
The weekend includes a full set of games across the Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two. (The Scottish Premiership is on its winter break and returns 23rd Jan.)
