7 in a row for Liverpool...
The Big One might not have been much of a match for entertainment, but the 0-0 draw between Liverpool and Man Utd went to plan for us as far as the Corners stats were concerned...
That game was the feature of our Spotlight email last week and also the headline fixture in our weekend Picks & Analysis.
Our research paid off with Liverpool winning the Most Corners for the 6th time in their last 8 meetings with rivals Man Utd.
- Something to keep in mind for the reverse fixture at Old Trafford later this season: Liverpool have now failed to beat United in 7 consecutive league games, and in those 7 games United have won the Most Corners just once
On overall form, Liverpool have now landed Most Corners and -1 Corner Handicap bets in 7 games in a row in all comps.
The -1.5 or -1 Corner Handicap was our pick at around Evens (2.00) and provided a decent win on Saturday lunchtime, with the corners score ending 7-3 to Liverpool.
The rest of Saturday afternoon didn’t pan out as well as that though, and we ended up treading water with two out of four winning picks for the weekend:
Bristol Rovers’ 11-game Over 2.5 Goals run came to an end with a 0-1 home defeat v Oxford Utd.
Shrewsbury remain unbeaten in League One (W9 D4 L0) but couldn’t get the win this time, drawing 1-1 at Plymouth.
Walsall drew 1-1 at Home for the second weekend running (v Blackpool) and that gave us another Both Teams to Score payout from our picks.
- Both Teams to Score has now paid out in 14 of Walsall’s last 15 games in all comps
For the season overall, our picks are currently showing a 5% ROI.

- Burnley 1 West Ham 1 – This was Burnley’s 7th straight Under 2.5 Goals game in the Premier League. They are the No.1 team in the division for that bet (88% record)
- Man City 7 Stoke 2 – A crazy score-line here. Man City have now won 6 in a row, and 4 of the those victories have been by at least 2 goals – landing -1 Match Handicaps in 7-2, 5-0, 6-0 and 5-0 wins
- Man City 7 Stoke 2 – Man City are top of the league and also top for Most Corners bets. They have a 100% record (8 games out of 8) for Most Corners, -1 Corner Handicap and -2 Corner Handicap bets. The corners score here was 5-0

- Norwich 1 Hull 1 – Another Both Teams to Score game for Hull. That’s 6 in a row now with goals at both ends. They are ranked No.1 in the division for that bet (83% record)
League One:
- Northampton 0 AFC Wimbledon 1 – Under 2.5 Goals has now paid out in 12 out of 13 AFC Wimbledon games (92%). That’s the best record for that bet in any of the five domestic leagues covered on our site. Northampton have failed to score in each of their last 6 games

- Forest Green 0 Newport County 4 – Forest Green took a beating here but maintained their unrivalled 92% Under 10.5 Corners record with another low Total Corners score (7 corners). That’s 12 payouts from 13 games now
