Standout stats for the weekend...

The stats pointed us in the right direction once again last weekend, with England winning the Most Corners against Germany (6-5), for the 5th successive meeting.

This weekend we’re back into the domestic games with the start of the back to back run of autumn & winter fixtures – which takes us through Christmas and into the New Year.

Here are three teams currently riding high on our website...

This weekend’s standout stats are:

  • Burnley are the No.1 team in the Premier League for Under 2.5 Goals, and have a 100% Home record for that bet. This weekend they face Swansea, who themselves have an 80% Away record for Under 2.5 Goals (4 games out of 5). It’s also worth pointing out that Burnley have won 5 games this season and 4 of them have been by the 1-0 Correct Score…
  • Man City are our top-rated Premier League team for Over 2.5 Goals, with a 73% strike-rate. Man City have landed this bet on their own (scoring 3+ goals) in 7 of their last 8 games. They travel to Leicester this weekend – Leicester have scored 4 goals in 2 games since Claude Puel took over, and are joint-top for the season for Both Teams to Score. Both meetings between these sides last season went Over 2.5 Goals…
  • Hull are ranked No.1 in Championship for Both Teams to Score bets (81% overall record). There have been goals at both ends in 9 of their last 10 league games. Opponents Ipswich have given 6 Both Teams to Score payouts from 7 Away games…

Under/ Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams to Score bets are widely available with most bookmakers.

Arsenal v Tottenham – top trend…

This weekend’s Big Game is the North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham (Sat 12.30pm, Sky Sports).

Most people will be talking about the 3 points at stake, the bragging rights and the chances of the ‘emotion spilling over’…

But here at Across the Leagues we like to look a bit deeper. One stats trend from the recent meetings catches the eye here:

  • In the last 8 North London derbies – going back to March 2014 – the Home team has won the Most Corners

Arsenal have won the Most Corners in 9 out of 9 games in all comps at the Emirates Stadium this season (5 out of 5 in the Premier League)…

The bookies make this market pretty much 50-50 for the latest renewal of the rivalry on Saturday lunchtime – with Arsenal available at around Evens (2.00) with Marathonbet and 888 Sport. The stats history certainly points to the Home team.
