WEEKEND STATS REVIEW

Welcome to your Weekend Stats Review email.

Every Monday we take a look at the latest stats and results – catching up on the performance of our picks, and drawing attention to particularly eye-catching teams, players or trends.

Man Utd’s 100% record continues...

Man Utd beat Newcastle 4-1 on Saturday evening – and won the corners count, 11-4.

That was more than enough to land our Man Utd -3 Corner Handicap pick at 11/10 (2.10), and in doing so maintain Man Utd’s 100% Home record for Most Corners bets this season.

The Red Devils have now won the Most Corners in all 6 of their league games at Old Trafford, and in 10 out of 12 games overall (83%) – putting them joint-top of our Premier League chart for that market:

Premier League - Most Corners Table

Results didn’t go as well in our other two weekend picks, though.

Wolves won 2-0 at Reading but Championship Top Scorer and weekend Anytime Scorer pick Leo Bonatini wasn’t on the score-sheet this time.

And in League One, Scunthorpe won 3-0 at Northampton, which was one goal too many for our Under 2.5 Goals pick. The Cobblers did their bit in terms of not scoring – Northampton have now failed to find the net in 4 of their last 5 league games at Sixfields.

More top trends on our site today...

With the weekend stats & results up-to-date, here are some more of the top trends showing on our site today...

Premier League:

  • Burnley 2 Swansea 0 – Under 2.5 Goals bets have now paid out in 10 of Burnley’s last 11 league games; the only ‘Over 2.5’ game was against the league’s top scorers, Man City. Burnley are ranked No.1 for Under 2.5 Goals with an 83% record

Championship:

  • Hull 2 Ipswich 2 – Hull games continue to see loads of goals. There were 4 goals in this 2-2 draw, coming on the back of 4-1, 1-3 and 2-3 defeats in their previous 3 games. Both Teams to Score bets have now paid out in 10 of Hull’s last 11 league games (82% record for the season)

League One:

  • Oldham 3 Rochdale 1 – Both Teams to Score has now paid out in a whopping 13 of Oldham’s last 14 games in League One. Not surprisingly, the Latics are the top-rated team in the division for that bet, with an 82% overall strike-rate

League Two:

  • Chesterfield 1 Exeter 0 – Kristian Dennis was on the score-sheet yet again here. His Chesterfield side remain rock bottom of the league, but Dennis is flying high as the joint-2nd Top Scorer in League Two with 10 goals, and our No.1 player in the division for Anytime Scorer payouts (10)

Scottish Premiership:

  • Ross County 0 Celtic 1 – Celtic smashed the corner count 11-1 here. They’re the top team in the Scottish Premiership for Most Corners payouts (77%), and that’s the 4th time in 7 Away games that Celtic have won 11+ corners
