Christmas Football TV Guide...
As I so eloquently put it on Monday: A big bundle of yuletide football fixtures will soon be sliding down the chimney...
Well, keep an eye on the fireplace – because it all starts this weekend...
The Christmas & New Year fixture list is a well-established part of the football calendar. It’s a tradition that has its critics in the ‘modern age’ (too many games, risk of injury, no team Christmas parties...).
But here at Across the Leagues we unashamedly love the festive football.
For me, watching Match of the Day on Boxing Day is a childhood TV memory right up there with Only Fools & Horses.
And it’s a good job we love the football at this time of year – because there sure is a lot of it...
Your all-season service...
As I also said in Monday’s email: You get continuous coverage from your Across the Leagues service over Christmas & New Year. The football doesn’t stop – and neither do we.
Your Across the Leagues website will continue to automatically update with the latest stats after every round of games – even if it snows...
For over 30 betting markets & dozens of stats categories, taking in over 100 teams across the Premier League, Championship, League One, League Two and the Scottish Premiership.
And even if I have to fight my way through a mountain of tinsel & turkey, I’ll be at my computer monitoring the stats & markets, diligently typing away and preparing your Picks & Analysis email ready for each round of games.
See below for the email dates for your diary.
The total number of Christmas & New Year games is well into three figures – each and every one of them for the five leagues listed above will be featured on our site with a Head-2-Head, Home Team v Away Team stats comparison.
These give you a great grounding for recent form (Last 5 Games) and overall (Season) form for the two teams, across stats markets such as Match Results, Goals, Corners, Cards & Booking Points.
The Head-2-Head buttons can be found under each league’s menu on the website.
In your Picks & Analysis emails I’ll be focusing on games that catch my eye in particular, with the latest form, stats and prices in mind.
Festive fixtures almost every day...
Armchair fans rejoice – a sack-load of the Christmas & New Year games are on TV. In fact, this year there’s live football on pretty much every day of the festive season...

- TV games are of special interest to us, as more bookies prices up stats markets like Corners and Cards & Booking Points for TV games than for non-televised games
Dates for your diary...
This list is subject to change, depending on how efficient the bookies are with pricing up each set of games, but here is the plan for your Picks & Analysis emails over the festive period:
- Tue 26th Dec – Boxing Day – AM
- Sun 31st Dec – New Year's Eve – PM
- Wed 3rd Jan – AM (Stats Review and update)
I’ll be back on Friday with the first of those Picks & Analysis emails.
Only a couple more sleeps until the festive fun begins...
Best wishes,

Oliver Upstone
