Championship stats prove fruitful...

The Championship is leading the way in terms of form in the book, with four completed rounds of games played already...

In comparison, the Premier League is just two games in and the rest of the Football League has played three rounds.

Last week the four Championship teams we listed in the Total Corners market for Under 10.5 Corners produced three winners.

It makes sense then to stick with the ‘Championship Corners’ theme today – looking to follow some developing early-season trends...

Corner-kick stats for this weekend...

Sunderland v Barnsley – OVER 10.5 Corners

  • Sunderland are ranked 1st in the Championship for Over 10.5 Corners with 4 payouts from 4 games so far. Opponents Barnsley are joint-2nd with 3 out of 4 Over 10.5 games

Burton Albion v Sheffield Wednesday – UNDER 10.5 Corners

  • Burton have a 100% record for Under 10.5 Corners so far (4 games out of 4). Opponents Sheff Wed have started the season with 3 out of 4 Under 10.5 games

Middlesbrough v Preston North End – UNDER 10.5 Corners

  • These two have 100% records for Under 10.5 Corners so far – continuing their solid form from last season where Middlesbrough were ranked 3rd in the Premier League for Under 10.5 Corners, and Preston were ranked 4th in the Championship

A handful or so bookies offer Under/ Over Total Corners bets for every game in the Football League...

Looking at this weekend’s markets, Betfair Sportsbook once again have the best range of bets available – including Under 10.5 Corners options for those three Championship games listed above.

Bet365 and NetBet also have a good range of Total Corners markets.

I’ll keep you updated on teams & stats trends like this throughout the season...

And remember, you can get full access to stats covering over 30 betting markets for over 100 teams in England and Scotland here.

Premier League Predictions...

Our new 2017/18 Premier League Predictor game will be up and running after the International break (no games next weekend – so we’ll kick off when the Premier League is back on the weekend of 9th Sept).

This season we’ve got a completely new game for you, with your chance to compete exclusively against other ATL Extra readers.

  • For the first time, we’ll be offering weekly cash prizes for the top-scoring Predictor player, as well as our overall end of season 1st place prize

I’ll email you when it’s time to enter your first set of match and score-line predictions.

So just for fun, here are my predictions for this weekend. And as usual, in the interests of comparison, I’ve compiled the predictions from Mark Lawrenson on the BBC and Paul Merson at Sky Sports, too...

Don’t miss a 100/1 winner at the US Open...

The US Open is about to start in New York – and a unique ‘tennis club’ are looking to make money for the fourth tournament running...

Already in 2017, members have made:

  • 15% ROI from the Australian Open in January
  • 18% ROI from the French Open in May
  • 14% ROI from Wimbledon in July
  • And they were also on the 33/1 Women’s US Open finalist last year, Karolina Pliskova – for a 16/1 Each Way payout

Tom Wilson, in his US Open 2017 Betting Guide service, reckons the likes of Andy Murray, Roger Federer & Rafael Nadal are there for the taking in New York...

And seeing as 100/1, 100/1 and 28/1 outsiders have reached the finals in the Grand Slam tournaments since last year’s US Open – he might have a point...

Don’t miss next week’s US Open advice...
