Welcome to your Weekend Stats Review email.
Every Monday we take a look at the latest stats and results – catching up on the performance of our picks, and drawing attention to particularly eye-catching teams, players or trends.
Seagulls land the Bookings again...
After a great run in the Champions League, it was a good domestic weekend for us, too...
All three of our picks won with the top payout being 2/1 (3.00) for Brighton to get the Most Cards against Swansea.
That really was a value price for Brighton – as we noted in Friday’s Picks & Analysis, the Seagulls are the No.1 team for ‘Most Cards and Booking Points’ at Home. They’ve now landed that bet in a remarkable 12 out of 14 Premier League games at the AmEx stadium (86%).
The Card score on Saturday was 1-0 to Brighton – one Yellow Card to nil (Booking Points = 10-0). Brighton won the game 4-1.
Swansea continue to be very well-behaved under new manager Carlos Carvalhal. Since the Portuguese took over, the Swans have received the Most Cards & Booking Pts in just 2 out of 8 league games. And in 4 of their last 5, they haven’t received any cards at all.
Our two other weekend winners came in League One...
Walsall 1 Blackburn 2 means Both Teams to Score has now paid out in 8 of Blackburn’s last 9 Away games. Again, the prices on offer didn’t seem to reflect the recent stats & form – we took 19/20 (1.95) or 10/11 (1.91) there, essentially meaning it was priced up as a 50-50 outcome. The stats said otherwise.
Plymouth beat Bradford 1-0 for their 6th straight win, taking their Home run to 8 wins out of 9. We took the Draw No Bet option there, for a 4/5 (1.80) payout.
- The stats are going well for us right now, and we’re finding some good prices. We’ve had 12 winners from 16 picks in February, giving 10.41 pts profit and a 65% ROI to level stakes
- This coming weekend we have a full set of Premier League and Football League games to look forward to for our next stats picks
Latest stats & streaks…
The data on our site highlights many other prolific and profitable trends. For example, after the weekend games:
- Bournemouth 2 Newcastle 2 – only top scorers Man City and Liverpool have a higher Premier League Over 2.5 Goals strike-rate than Bournemouth. The Cherries’ Home record stands at 71%, and 10 of their last 11 league games overall have seen 3+ Total Goals
- Hull 1 Sheff Utd 0 – Sheff Utd lost this game but won the corner count, 7-1. The Blades have won the Most Corners in an eye-catching 18 of their last 20 Championship games. They’re the top team in the division for that bet, with a 79% record for the season
- Norwich 0 Bolton 0 – these two are 3rd and 2nd respectively in our Championship Under 2.5 Goals table. That bet has now paid out in 13 Bolton games in a row – and they’ve failed to score in each of their last 4 Away
- Bristol Rovers 1 Scunthorpe – another strong Goals streak here; Both Teams to Score has now paid out in 9 Scunthorpe games in a row in League One
- Bury 2 Gillingham 1 – Gillingham are another form side for Both Teams to Score in League One. There have been goals at both ends in 9 of their last 11 games
- Rotherham 2 Doncaster 1 – League One is the place to be for winning streaks at the moment. Rotherham are one win ahead of Plymouth, with this their 7th successive league victory
