WEEKEND STATS REVIEW

Welcome to your Weekend Stats Review email.

Every Monday we take a look at the latest stats and results – catching up on the performance of our picks, and drawing attention to particularly eye-catching teams, players or trends.

One and one...

It wasn’t a vintage weekend for the stats match-ups, or our picks. We had one winner and one loser, for a ‘break even’ weekend.

In League Two, Coventry were surprise 3-0 match winners at Luton. The corners score finished level at 6-6, just enough to land our +1 Corner Handicap at 11/10 (2.10).

In the Premier League, Stoke also bucked the match formbook with a 1-0 Away Win at Watford...

Stoke scored the first goal of a game for just the 4th time in 10 Premier League games this season, with Darren Fletcher getting what turned out to be the match winner after just 16 minutes.

Watford went on to get the Most Corners (8-1) for the first time this season, wiping out my Stoke +1 Corner Handicap recommendation.

9 in a row for Fulham...

With the weekend stats & results up-to-date, here are some more of the top trends showing on our site today...

Premier League:

  • West Brom 2 Man City 3 – another high-scoring game featuring league leaders Man City. City have now won 8 Premier League games in a row, and 7 of those have also paid out on Over 2.5 Goals. Pep Guardiola’s side are ranked No.1 in the division for Over 2.5 Goals with a 70% overall record

Championship:

  • Fulham 1 Bolton 1 – Fulham remain joint-1st in the Championship for Both Teams to Score (79%), with their run for that bet now extending to 9 league games in a row
  • Hull 2 Nottingham Forest 3 – Hull are also up there with Fulham on 79% for Both Teams to Score. This was the 7th payout from Hull’s last 8 Championship games

League One:

  • Charlton 1 AFC Wimbledon 0 – AFC Wimbledon are hovering above the relegation zone in League One and ‘low goals’ continues to be the theme (and the problem) for them this season. Under 2.5 Goals has paid out in 88% of their games – that’s the highest Under 2.5 Goals strike-rate of any team in the Premier League, Football League and Scottish Premiership stats on our site, combined. AFC have failed to score in 6 of their last 8 games

League Two:

  • Accrington Stanley 4 Barnet 1 – Billy Kee scored for the third game in a row here. The Accrington forward is the Top Scorer in League Two with 10 goals. Our Scorer stats show that Kee has landed 9 Anytime Scorer payouts this season – more than any other player in all the divisions covered on our site

Scottish Premiership:

  • Celtic 1 Kilmarnock 1 – Unbeaten Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic have actually won the Most Corners (82%) more times than they have won games this season (73%). The corners score was 9-1 in this one

All those stats and many more can be found on your Across the Leagues website...

Champions League and Championship tomorrow...

The Champions League returns with Match-day 4 tomorrow...

There are 16 games across Tuesday & Wednesday evening, including the eye-catching fixture between Tottenham and Real Madrid at Wembley.

In the Championship there’s also a full midweek fixture list including Preston v Aston Villa on Sky Sports.

I’ll be on the hunt for the best stats match-ups and betting opportunities across all those games in your Midweek Picks & Analysis email on Tuesday afternoon.

See you tomorrow...
