Champions League trends continue…

The stats went to form for us last night.

Michael Oliver dished out 7 Yellow Cards (70 Booking Points) in Porto’s 1-0 win over Galatasaray. That result landed our Over 4.5 Cards pick. Those sides are two to watch for ‘high cards’ games in Europe.

In the Championship, Sheffield Wednesday gave their 8th straight Both Teams to Score payout, held to a 2-2 draw by West Brom. Wednesday had been 2-0 up, but their unbeaten Home record continues.

Wednesday are now 91% for Both Teams to Score bets (10 games out of 11). And West Brom are just one behind, with 9 out of 11 (82%). You can view the full Championship stats on the League Stats page of our website.

Champions League Match-day Two saw loads of goals once again. Big score-lines last night included PSG 6 Red Star Belgrade 1 and Tottenham 2 Barcelona 4.

Over 2.5 Goals bets have now paid out in 9 of Tottenham’s 10 games in all comps this season – and in 9 of their last 10 in the Champions League.

Bayern Munich have another significant Champions League trend that continued this week. They won the Most Corners (9-2) in their 1-1 draw with Ajax. That’s the 35th time that Bayern have won the Most Corners, from their last 36 Champions League Home games (!).

You can view more mighty stats like that in our Champions League Stats Report here.

It’s a busy week for the football – and it’s been a good one so far. I’ll be back in your inbox again on Friday, with Picks & Analysis for the weekend.

See you tomorrow…

Best wishes,

Oliver Upstone
