Last weekend’s Champions League final wasn’t exactly a classic.
The most excitement came from cheering on every Tottenham corner in the dying minutes.
One more and the Most Corners tally would’ve ended all square for an 8/1 payout from our bet on the corners ‘draw.’ As it was, Liverpool ended up edging the corners 9-8.
That was a good example of using the stats to hunt out an interesting bet and a nice price, though. Something to keep in mind for the future.

‘I’ll sit down with the chairman this summer…’
How many times have we heard that or something along similar lines. It’s a go-to statement for managers and players.
Eden Hazard might be packing his bags and leaving Chelsea for Real Madrid.
Rafael Benitez is ‘locked in a stalemate’ with the powers that be at Newcastle.
Things are a lot more positive here at Across the Leagues HQ…
Summer plans…
I’ve been in a couple of planning meetings for the new season already. Every year, we look to improve your Across the Leagues members-only service. This year is no different…
Firstly, thanks to all of you that took our member survey last month. The feedback has been great, and will come in extremely valuable as we look to push things forward.
Secondly, I’ve already had two meetings with website developers – people in the know when it comes to giving the stats engine a tweak, under the bonnet. I have more meetings and phone calls planned in the next couple of weeks, too.
Just wanted to keep you in the loop for now. It’s all positive as we look forwards. I’ll have more news for you soon.
