My weekend picks were as miserable as the weather.
Away Win selection Arsenal kept up their 100% Away record for Over 2.5 Goals, but went down 3-2 at Southampton. That was a first victory in 13 games for the Saints, and the end of a 22-game unbeaten run in all comps for the Gunners.
Wolves beat Bournemouth 2-0. In doing so they kept a first Clean Sheet in 9 games, and ended Bournemouth’s recent run of 13 Over 2.5 Goals payouts from 14 games in all comps.
Championship bottom side Ipswich beat Wigan 1-0, recording a first win in 10 games – with the Home side’s 6-game Most Corners streak coming to an end (corners score = 3-7).
Brighton were on course to land the Most Booking Points in their 1-2 defeat v Chelsea, leading the tally by 2 Yellow Cards to nil with 10 minutes left on the clock. But a couple of late bookings for the Away side meant the cards score ended level at 2 Yellows each (20 pts each).
Elsewhere, there were plenty of strong trends that did continue. The updated stats on our website include:
- Premier League – Liverpool 3 Man Utd 1 – Man Utd are out on their own at the top of our Premier League Over 2.5 Goals standings. This was their 8th payout in 9 Away games this season (89%)
- Championship – Sheff Utd 1 West Brom 2 – West Brom are No.1 in the Championship for Both Teams to Score (82%). This was their 6th payout in a row, and their 8th from their last 9 games
- League One – Barnsley 1 Portsmouth 1 (Corners = 9-2) – Barnsley have now won the Most Corners in 10 out of 10 Home games in League One (100%)
- Scottish Premiership – Livingston 5 Hearts 0 (Total Corners = 5) – Yet another Under 10.5 Corners result for Livingston. That’s 9 out of 10 at Home now (90%)
Those are just four markets and examples. Every week we keep track of the top performing teams across a range of stats – then look to cash-in when the next appropriate round of games comes along…
