FORM TEAM

After a rare two-week break in the Championship, all 24 clubs return to league action this weekend. The Top 2 of Norwich and Sheffield United take on Top 10 opposition in Middlesbrough (A) and Bristol City (H) respectively.

As it stands Aston Villa are in the Playoff places on Goal Difference…

  • Aston Villa have won their last 4 games

Villa are unbeaten in 10 Home league games v teams below them in the table. This weekend’s visitors Blackburn Rovers are safe in mid-table and have little left to play for this season – 11 points above the Relegation places and 10 points off the Playoff positions. Rovers have lost 3 of their last 4, and 7 of their last 9.

Aston Villa to beat Blackburn is 8/13 (1.62) with Skybet, Marathonbet, Coral, 3/5 (1.60) in general.

GOALS MATCH-UPS

The Total Goals Under/ Over 2.5 and Both Teams to Score markets have some of the most reliable trends of all the stats. These markets are widely available for all games in every division.

Standout match-ups this weekend:

  • Man Utd v Watford – Over 2.5 Goals has paid out in 4 of Man Utd’s last 5 Home games and 4 of Watford’s last 5 Away. For the season, 79% of Premier League games at Old Trafford have produced 3+ Total Goals. Watford are on a 5-game run for Over 2.5 Goals. That option is 8/13 (1.62) in general
  • Sheffield Utd v Bristol City – 4 of Sheff Utd’s last 5 Home games have gone Under 2.5 Goals, as have 4 of Bristol City’s last 5 on the road. Overall, 6 of Sheff Utd’s last 7 Championship games have gone Under 2.5 Goals – with the Blades keeping 7 Clean Sheets in a row. Under 2.5 Goals is 8/11 (1.73)
  • Stoke City v Sheffield Wednesday – Stoke have had three 0-0 draws in a row and each of their last 10 Championship games have gone Under 2.5 Goals, including 5 out of 5 at Home. Sheffield Wednesday match-up with 4 of their last 5 Away going Under 2.5 Goals. That option is around 1/2 (1.50)
  • Middlesbrough v Norwich City – Both Teams to Score has paid out in 4 of Middlesbrough’s last 5 Home games and 4 of Norwich’s last 5 Away. ‘Boro have kept just one Clean Sheet in their last 5 Championship outings at the Riverside; Norwich just one Clean Sheet in 5 on their travels. Both Teams to Score – Yes is available at 4/5 (1.80)

The Acca on those four Goals selections pays 13/2+ (7.50+) with Bet365, Marathonbet and Betfred, 6/1+ (7.00+) in general
