We’re kicking off today with a look at the big live TV game in the Premier League…

Standout Stats for the weekend…

Chelsea v Arsenal

Premier League
Saturday, 5.30pm – BT Sport

Match odds: Chelsea 5/6 (1.83), Draw 3/1 (4.00), Arsenal 7/2 (4.50)

Chelsea are odds-on to make it two Premier League wins out of two for new manager Maurizio Sarri – and inflict a second straight defeat on new Arsenal boss Unai Emery.

However, the Blues haven’t won any of their last 6 meetings with the Gunners in all comps.

The stats say you can find better value by looking beyond the Match Result prices. One area that catches the eye is the Player Cards betting…

New Arsenal defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos marked his debut with a Yellow Card last weekend – booked for a rather cynical foul on Sergio Aguero, right on the edge of the penalty box.

The player formbook says Sokratis is certainly one to keep an eye on for Cards bets. After that booking on his Arsenal debut, the former Borussia Dortmund player has now got 6 Yellow Cards in his last 10 appearances for club & country. The Greek centre back is one to file under ‘no nonsense’ – and he looks it, too.

This Saturday the fixture list hasn’t been kind to Arsenal; after losing 2-0 at Home to champions Man City in their opening game, they now face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

With silky-skilled World Cup star Eden Hazard set to be back in the starting XI for the Blues, the Arsenal defence are sure to come under pressure…

Some bookies aren’t taking any chances, not even listing Sokratis in their Player to be Carded market. However, the likes of William Hill, 888 Sport and Bet365 have stuck their necks out, offered around 2/1 (3.00) for the new Arsenal man to pick up another card this weekend.

If you’re a fan of bigger prices, then you might want to take a look at the more speculative First Player to be Carded market, where Sokratis can be backed at around 10/1 (11.00) to be the first man in the Ref’s book.
