Man City won the Manchester derby, 3-1 – and the reigning Premier League champions are on course to repeat last season’s total domination of the attacking stats…
The Premier League Stats and Totals on our website show that, with a third of the current 2018/19 season gone:
Man City have won more games than any other team (W10 D2 L0)… scored the most Goals (36)… conceded the joint-least amount of goals (5)… and had the most Total Shots (246), the most Shots on Target (94) and the most Corners (95).
In the betting markets, those figures lead to strong strike-rates such as an 86% Home record for Over 2.5 Goals, and a 92% record for Most Corners bets. City won the corner count v Man Utd, 6-1, covering a -3 Corner Handicap for the 10th time in 12 league games.
With top stats like that around, it’s frustrating to have been on the end of a raft of losing picks in the last few weeks. The weekend was a case in point with West Ham’s 1-1 draw at Huddersfield having the same score on the Cards – one Yellow Card apiece meaning West Ham didn’t keep up their Most Cards form this time. And in the Championship, Derby County 0 Aston Villa 3 had enough goals to land Over 2.5 Goals – but not for our Both Teams to Score pick.
Here’s the good news…
After this weekend’s International break, it’s full steam ahead with the weekly league fixtures – with an unbroken run of games in the Premier League & beyond, right up until FA Cup 3rd Round in early January. That means we have stacks of games to look forward to, without the delays & distractions of International breaks. And with just a third of the season played, we will have many, many opportunities to turn a profit from the stats.

After the weekend games, other eye-catching trends showing on our site today include:
- Premier League – Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 (Total Cards = 2) – Liverpool and Fulham are now up to 75% for Under 3.5 Cards results, with 9 out of 12 games each having less than 4 Yellow Cards. The bookies were cautious of this one though, with Bet365’s market set lower than usual at Under 2.5 Cards
- Premier League – Arsenal 1 Wolves 1 – Under 2.5 Goals has now paid out in 100% ofWolves Away games (6 out of 6), and 10 out of 12 overall – putting them in 1st place on our Premier League table for this bet
- Championship – Middlesbrough 2 Wigan 0 – Another Under 2.5 Goals game for title-chasing Middlesbrough – their 14th from their last 15 games
- Championship – QPR 3 Brentford 2 (Corner = 2-5) – Brentford won the Most Corners for the 15th time in 17 league games this season, putting them joint-top of the Championship for that bet, level with Sheffield United on 88%
- Scottish Premiership – St Johnstone 4 Hamilton 0 (Total Corners = 4) – We’re seeing some remarkable ‘low corners’ scores from Hamilton. Under 10.5 Corners has paid out in 12 of their 13 games (92%), with recent totals of just 4, 5 and 2 in that run
