I’ve been matching-up up the stats for tonight’s games. Here’s the standout info and Stats Picks:
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
All the Champions League (CL) ties can be viewed live on the BT Sport channels. Starting with the early 5.55pm kick-offs this evening…
Atalanta v Shakhtar Donetsk
With both sides having lost their opening Group C games, the three points should be fiercely contested here.
Shakhtar have been in the CL for a couple of seasons now and the themes have been Ove 2.5 Goals – and a poor away record. Over 2.5 Goals paid out in 5 of their 6 Group games last season, and 6 out of 8 CL games in 2017/18. On their travels, the Ukrainians have conceded a whopping 14 goals in their last 4 European away games.
So far in 2019/20, Donetsk have given Over 2.5 Goals payouts in 9 of 11 matches in all competitions. Atalanta match up well with 5 out of 6 high goals results in Italy, plus a 4-0 defeat at Dinamo Zagreb on Match-day One.
Real Madrid v Club Brugge
Real Madrid are bottom of Group A after losing 3-0 at PSG a fortnight ago. The Spanish side are big favourites to get on the board at 1/3 (1.33) for the home win. The Corners stats standout here…
The Historical Stats in our Report show Real have a vey strong 80% home record for winning the Most Corners. That bet is just 1/10 (1.10) today but the numbers suggest Madrid are more than capable of covering the -4 Corner Handicap (winning 5+ corners more than Club Brugge).
Last season in the CL, Madrid’s home corners tallies included some huge scores – 16-11 v Roma and 12-2 v Viktoria Plzen. Real won those games 3-0 and 2-1 respectively.
Brugge were out-cornered in 5 out of 6 CL Group games last season, including all 3 on the road with 2 of those seeing opponents beat a -4 Corner Handicap.
CHAMPIONSHIP
Stoke v Huddersfield
These two are having a miserable time of it, propping up the Championship table with just 2 points each after 9 games. Confidence is low and Clean Sheets are like gold-dust…
Stoke have produced Both Teams to Score payouts in 4 out of 5 at home and 7 of 9 league games overall.
Huddersfield are yet to keep a Clean Sheet in 10 games in all comps. That includes all 9 Championship outings, with Both Teams to Score paying out in the full 4 out of 4 on the road.
Leeds Utd v West Brom
At the other end of the Championship table, two title contenders go head-to-head in the lead game on Sky this evening (Sky Sports Main Event channel, 7.45pm)…
On our website, Leeds are ranked No.1 in the division for Over 10.5 Corners. That bet has paid out in each of their last 4 games, and in 7 of their last 8.
West Brom bring some good stats of their own with 4 of the Baggies’ 5 away games seeing 11+ Total Corners so far.
