Stats Picks…
After a busy schedule of midweek football we move on to the weekend, with a full set of fixtures across the eight domestic & European leagues that we cover.
I’ve done the hard work for you and gone through the stats. Here’s the pick of the top trends and match-ups...
- See below for full details of this weekend’s Stats Picks. Including our new feature ‘The Goals Acca’ – aiming to capitalise on the Total Goals and Both Teams to Score trends
PREMIER LEAGUE
Norwich v Aston Villa is a standout game for goals. The Canaries are 100% at home for Over 2.5 Goals, and yet to keep a Clean Sheet in 8 games in all competitions this season. Villa’s last 2 games have ended 2-2 and 3-2, and 2 of their 3 away trips have seen 4+ Total Goals.
In the two previous seasons in the Championship, all 4 meetings between these sides went Over 2.5 Goals with both teams finding the net on each occasion.
Arsenal v Bournemouth is 1st v 2nd in the Premier League table on our website for Both Teams to Score. Those rankings are made up of 3 out of 3 Arsenal home games, and 6 in a row in the league overall. The Cherries are 100% with goals at both ends in 7 out of 7 league games this season.
Bournemouth have found the net in each of their last 3 meetings with the Gunners.
CHAMPIONSHIP
Swansea v Stoke is top v bottom in the Championship. If that was a Premier League match-up then you wouldn’t be getting Even Money (2.00) for the home win. Stoke are winless, with 8 defeats from their opening 10 games.
Derby County v Luton features two of the joint-top teams for Both Teams to Score. Both boast an 80% record (8 out of 10 games), including 4 out of 5 in the home/ away split. This has paid out in 7 of Derby’s last 8 league games, and in 5 of Luton’s last 6.
QPR v Blackburn Rovers is a 100% match-up on our Head-2-Head comparison. Under 10.5 Corners has paid out in all 5 QPR home games and 4 out of 4 Blackburn away trips. The R’s are 100% overall with all 10 of their Championship matches seeing less than 11 Total Corners.
QPR home games average 8.6 corners. Blackburn’s away figure is 8.8.
SPAIN – LA LIGA
Celta Vigo v Athletic Bilbao is a standout match-up in Spain. Bilbao are 100% for Under 2.5 Goals with 7 consecutive payouts. Celta Vigo are on a 6-game run for that option, too.
Vigo have failed to score in 3 of their last 4 games. Bilbao haven’t scored more than once on the road.
GERMANY - BUNDESLIGA
The Bundesliga is ripe for goals. Last weekend, 8 of the 9 games went Over 2.5 Goals. For 2019/20 to date, 78% of all fixtures in the German top-flight have produced 3+ Total Goals.
Freiburg v Borussia Dortmund is a prime contender this weekend. Dortmund are 100% for Over 2.5 Goals with 6 out of 6 in the league. Freiburg have given 5 payouts out of 6.

P.S
We're still in the process of updating the members-only section of your Across the Leagues website with the full new stats categories for La Liga, Bundesliga and Serie A. You may have noticed a new tab called 'European Leagues' has appeared on the site. This will very soon be populated with all the 2019/20 stats to date for those three new leagues. I’ll update you next week.
Best wishes,

Shaun Humphris
