This weekend we have fixtures in the Premier League, Football League and in Serie A.

Five games standout in particular on the Corners and Goals stats, with some strong trends and streaks on show…

Here are our Stats Picks:

CORNERS

The top of the Premier League ‘Most Corners’ table on our website looks like this:

Premier League Corners Stats

In the Premier League this weekend, there are three teams in action that all have striking home form for Most Corners and Corner Handicap payouts…

Sheff Utd v West Ham – Sheff Utd -2 Corner Handicap

TONIGHT 8pm – Sky Sports

Sheffield United are second only to Man City when it comes to landing Most Corners bets at home. The Blades have a 90% record, coming out on top on the corner count in 9 of their 10 Premier League games at Bramall Lane so far this season.

That includes each of their last 5, with a 9-1 v Watford and an 8-1 v Newcastle in December showing the kind of corner dominance that Chris Wilder’s side are capable of.

West Ham have managed to win the Most Corners in just 2 of their 10 away games this campaign.

  • Sheff Utd -2 Corner Handicap @ 11/10 (2.10) with Paddy Power, Betfair Sportsbook, 21/20 (2.05) William Hill, Evens (2.00) Skybet, 19/20 (1.95) Betway, 20/23 (1.87) BetVictor, 17/20 (1.85) 888 Sport, Unibet, 5/6 (1.83) Bet365

Leicester v Southampton – Leicester -3 Corner Handicap

Sat 3pm

If you ignore the visit of league leaders Liverpool on Boxing Day, where the Foxes were comprehensively outplayed from start to finish (lost 0-4, corners 2-8), Leicester have won the Most Corners and covered a -1, -2 and -3 Corner Handicap in 5 of their last 7 home games.

Against teams in the bottom half of the Premier League table, that home corners record runs to 4 of the last 5 games.

Overall, Leicester are joint-2nd in the division for winning the Most Corners this season (71% of games). Including 7 times out of 10 at the King Power Stadium where they are averaging 3.6 corners per game more than opponents.

Southampton are ranked second-bottom of the Premier League for Most Corners wins this season, with just 6 positive results on the corner tallies from 21 matches.

  • Leicester -3 Corner Handicap @ 21/20 (2.05) with BetVictor, Evens (2.00) Paddy Power, Betfair Sportsbook, 49/50 (1.98) 888 Sport, Unibet, 19/20 (1.95) William Hill, Betway, 10/11 (1.91) Bet365, Skybet

Chelsea v Burnley – Chelsea -4 Corner Handicap

Sat 3pm

Chelsea are on an 8-match streak at Stamford Bridge for Most Corners wins.

And in 5 of their last 6 at home, the Blues have covered a -4 Corner Handicap. Posting some big corner scores: 8-1, 9-4, 9-5, 9-3, 7-0, 11-0.

Frank Lampard’s side are joint-top of our Premier League table for Most Corners payouts, with a 76% overall record and 80% at home.

Burnley have got just 2 Most Corners results to their name from 10 away trips this season.

  • Chelsea -4 Corner Handicap @ 10/11 (1.91) with Paddy Power, Betfair Sportsbook, 888 Sport, Unibet, 9/10 (1.90) BetVictor, 5/6 (1.83) Bet365, William Hill

GOALS

On to the Goals stats now, and two games in Italy’s Serie A standout this weekend…

Inter Milan v Atalanta – Over 2.5 Goals

Sat 7.45pm

The Head-2-Head on our website highlights this game as a strong match-up for Over 2.5 Goals on the recent Home/ Away form. With 4 of Inter’s last 5 at home and 4 of Atalanta’s last 5 away producing 3+ Total Goals.

Overall, Atalanta are the top scoring side in Serie A this season – and only Inter can beat their tally of 20 Goals For on the road.

In our Over 2.5 Goals table, Atalanta are in 1st place with an 83% strike-rate, with Inter in joint-4th on 72% for the season.

Eleven of Inter’s last 13 games in all competitions have paid out on Over 2.5 Goals, including a 3-1 away win in their first fixture of 2020 on Monday evening.

Atalanta have won their last two games, 5-0. Their last 6 have all seen 3+ Total Goals.

Sun 2pm

Torino have only kept one Clean Sheet in 9 home league games this season – and that stat is the same for Bologna on the road…

Bologna are on a 12-match streak in Serie A for Both Teams to Score. That puts them firmly on the list for a Stats Pick this weekend.

Torino have seen goals at both ends in 3 of their last 4 games. Last season this fixture proved an end-to-end one, with the scores 2-3 at Torino, and 2-2 in Bologna.

  • Both Teams to Score @ 7/10 (1.70) with Bet365, William Hill, Marathonbet, Sportingbet, 4/6 (1.67) in general
