Stats Picks…

We have a quieter weekend than usual this week, with the final round of Euro 2020 Qualification fixtures meaning we have no Premier League, Championship, Scottish Premiership, La Liga, Bundesliga or Serie A.

Leagues One & Two are in action. But the bad weather has already caused seven games to be postponed.

From the games that are set to go ahead, we have two Stats Picks – see below.

And after this International break, we have a great run of domestic fixtures to look forward to – with weekend & midweek action every week right up until the FA Cup 3rd Round in January.

LEAGUE ONE

Blackpool v AFC Wimbledon
Sat 3pm

Both Teams to Score is the top match-up here. Blackpool beat promotion favourites Peterborough 4-3 last week, and the Head-2-Head comparison on our website shows 4 of Blackpool’s last 5 home games have paid out on Both Teams to Score, and also on Over 2.5 Goals. Likewise for AFC Wimbledon on the road, who are also 88% away for the season for both bets (7 out of 8 away games).

Blackpool are 75% at home for goals at both ends. AFC are ranked No.1 in the division for that bet.

The lack of Clean Sheets points to Both Teams to Score, too. The home side have managed just one in 8 attempts. AFC are yet to keep a Clean Sheet in any of their 8 away trips.

LEAGUE TWO

Salford v Swindon
Sat 3pm

Swindon striker Eoin Doyle is the top scorer in the Football League this season. He’s got a remarkable 14 goals in 14 games since joining Swindon on loan from fellow League Two club Bradford, landing 9 Anytime Scorer bets and 7 First Goalscorer payouts.

Doyle found the net after just 5 minutes v Walsall last time out. He was a successful Stats Pick for us in that game, and stays in our selections for the trip to Salford.

As an on-loan player, Doyle had to sit out Swindon’s FA Cup 1st Round match last weekend. He also missed out on the Football League Trophy tie in midweek. Back in league action this Saturday, Doyle is the top-rated Scorer to follow in this weekend’s Football League fixtures...

Doyle’s First Goalscorer record of 7 payouts from 14 games is a standout stat. Even more so, he’s got the first goal in each of Swindon’s last 5 league games.

He’s 7/5 (2.40) with Paddy Power to score Anytime. With Salford conceding first in 3 of their last 4 at home, the First Goalscorer option stands out here at 4/1 (5.00).

So far this season, backing Doyle for the first goal at 4/1 in every game would’ve produced 21 pts profit for a 150% ROI.

Backing Doyle to score anytime at 7/5 in every game would’ve produced 7.6 pts profits for a 54% ROI.

  • First Goalscorer – Eoin Doyle @ 4/1 (5.00) Bet365, Boylesports, 7/2 (4.50) general

Stats Picks Summary

See above for full details. This weekend’s Stats Picks are:

  • Blackpool v AFC Wimbledon – Both Teams to Score @ 4/5
  • Salford v Swindon – First Goalscorer – Eoin Doyle @ 4/1

I’ll be back next week, when the Premier League and our European divisions return.

Best wishes,
