The leagues are on hold - we’ll know more soon...

Things are changing fast right now. The coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak is dominating all areas of life.

After I wrote to you on Friday afternoon with our Bundesliga Stats Picks, the weekend fixtures in Germany went the same way as the others across the top leagues in the UK & Europe.

This is an unprecedented situation. The football fixture lists haven’t seen disruption and doubt like this since wartime. For now, the sport is on hold. I’m monitoring the situation and will keep in touch via email.

Of course, there are more important things than football. We can’t change the situation. Health and human lives come first. But as sports fans, we can take some comfort in knowing that at some point, the football will return.

In terms of the fixture lists, we will know more after Tuesday’s UEFA meeting. I’ll be back in the week with an update, and details of the immediate plans for your Across the Leagues service.
