Get twice the price in Germany tonight…

Since play restarted, we’ve been doing well in Germany, thanks to a few nice prices. Across markets including Player Cards, First Goalscorers and Match Handicaps, we’ve picked out odds in the region of 2/1 and 5/1 in the Bundesliga.

Those kinds of prices are where long-term success lies for us, and we’ve identified a couple of appealing options again this evening – see below.

The plan of attack: attractive prices…

The La Liga is only a few games into its comeback. So far, we’re yet to land a winner in Spain this month. The team-sheets have been tricky, with a few of ‘void’ selections and players coming on as subs…

Hot weather breaks have been in use during La Liga matches, and along with a busier-than-usual fixture list as they look to get the season completed, plus players looking to get back to full match fitness after the layoff, and extra substitutes being allowed, the La Liga form is looking a little difficult to catch right just yet.

We have loads of football to enjoy in the weeks ahead. The big event is the return of the Premier League, and we’ll be previewing the first two games in tomorrow’s email.

There’s also the Championship, and Italy’s Serie A returning at the weekend. Your members-only Across the Leagues website will have all the stats and Head-2-Head comparisons for those.

And in your daily email updates & analysis this week and beyond, we’ll be focusing on identifying the best value prices and eye-catching opportunities from a variety of betting markets – wherever our stats, research and lines of enquiry take us…

STATS PICKS & ANALYSIS

Bundesliga and La Liga tonight…

There are 4 games in the Bundesliga this evening, and 3 more in La Liga. Those leagues continue their midweek programmes on Wednesday, too. And in Spain the action rolls right on each day and into the weekend.

A couple of the big boys are in action tonight. A note on the prices there. Bayern Munich have won 10 Bundesliga games in a row. The champions elect are just 2/11 (1.18) to make it 11 on the trot with victory at relegation battling Werder Bremen.

Top scorer Robert Lewandowski is back from suspension for Bayern. He’s just 1/3 (1.33) to at Anytime, and the short favourite at 9/5 (2.80) to score First.

Likewise, in Spain tonight, leaders Barcelona are 2/9 (1.22) at best to beat second-bottom Leganes.

And top scorer Lionel Messi – who has just become the first player to score 20+ goals in 12 consecutive La Liga seasons – is odds-on at 8/15 (1.53) to score Anytime, and a 2/1 (3.00) favourite to score First.

With the price points in mind, the player & team stats lead us to some more appealing odds and options in the early kick in Germany today…

Borussia Monchengladbach v Wolfsburg

Germany – Bundesliga
5.30pm, BT Sport

This is 5th v 6th in the table, although with 10 points separating them, Monchengladbach’s aspirations are Champions League qualification, while the Europa League is the best Wolfsburg can hope for.

Scorers…

Wolfsburg are unbeaten in 6 away games in the Bundesliga, winning 3 in a row. That includes a 4-1 victory at Bayer Leverkusen (4th).

Monchengladbach are suffering a few injury problems right now, notably up front with Marcus Thuram and Alasanne Plea collecting injuries recently. Breel Embolo might have to lead the line again, despite not looking anywhere near 100% fit when called upon at the weekend. He’s got one goal in his last 12 games.

A likely scorer for the away side could be worth following, then…

Wout Weghorst is that man for Wolfsburg, with 3 goals in his last 2 games. For the season overall, only three players in the Bundesliga have got more goals than the big Dutch striker (14). Only three men can beat him for First Goalscorer payouts, too (6).

As well as an aerial threat, Weghorst also takes penalties. He’s found the net in 3 of his last 4 away appearances in the league. Odds of 5/1 to score First are twice the price of Lewandowski and Messi in those respective games & markets today.

  • First Goalscorer – Wout Weghorst @ 5/1 (6.00) with Boylesports, 9/2 (5.50) and 4/1 (5.00) in general

Correct Scores…

Wolfsburg have drawn a total of 13 games in all competitions this season, and 10 of them have finished either 1-1 or 2-2. The other results were a brace of 0-0’s in the league, and a 3-3 in the cup.

Only Schalke (12 draw) and RB Leipzig (11) have drawn more games than Wolfsburg’s 10 this season.

Borussia Monchengladbach have won 10 out of 15 home league games this season, a Home Win rate only bettered by the Top 2 of Bayern Munich (12 wins) and Borussia Dortmund (11). But they’ve stuttered a little with just 2 wins from their last 5 at home.

Four of ‘Gladbach’s 6 draws in all comps this season have gone the way of 1-1 or 2-2. And one of last season’s two encounters with Wolfsburg ended up 2-2, too.

The draw is 13/5 (3.60) in general. The score draw (Match Result & Both Teams to Score) isn’t much different, at around 3/1 (4.00). Focusing on the two Correct Scores identified above, covering 1-1 at 6/1 and 2-2 at 11/1 is an appealing tactic here.

  • Correct Score: 1-1 @ 13/2 (7.50) with BetVictor, 6/1 (7.00) Boylesports, Bet365, Skybet, Betfred, Betway

And:

  • Correct Score: 2-2 @ 11/1 (12.00) with Bet365, Skybet, 10/1 (11.00)  in general
