Stats Picks & Analysis…
There were plenty of players, prices and pointers mentioned in yesterday’s stats & analysis…
Our highlighted Picks didn’t hit the mark. Kevin De Bruyne didn’t get on the pitch until the 61st minute, reducing his chances of landing the Anytime Scorer odds.
Man City cruised past Burnley, 5-0. None of their three top scorers landed their short odds, though – and avoiding the odds-on prices for Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling was part of our plan when taking the higher price for De Bruyne.
Burnley must dread facing Man City… Pep Guardiola’s side have now thrashed them by the 5-0 score in 3 of their last 7 meetings in all competitions, with a couple of 4-1’s in there, too.
Juventus and Cristiano Ronaldo ended up justifying their favouritism, with Ronaldo opening the scoring from the penalty spot in a 2-0 win at Bologna. However, for the first time in 11 meetings between these clubs, the Most Corners stats didn’t go the way of Juve, with the home team coming out on top 8-2 in that department last night.
In the League Two Playoffs, both of the 2nd Legs ties saw a turnaround, with 7/4 (2.75) Exeter coming through against Colchester after extra time. And 8/1 (9.00) Northampton putting in their performance of the season, winning 3-0 at Cheltenham to overturn a 0-2 aggregate deficit.
The League Two Playoff Final between Exeter and Northampton will be held behind closed doors at Wembley next Monday evening.
STATS PICKS & ANALYSIS
A new round of Premier League fixtures starts today. Along with games in La Liga and Serie A, too…

Here’s our pick of the stats and prices for this evening:
Tottenham v West Ham
Premier League
8.15pm, Sky Sports
Tottenham are 7/10 (1.70) for the Home Win, although Spurs haven’t won any of their last three at home v the Hammers in all comps.
The disciplinary stats catch the eye for this one…
The Cards & Bookings tables on our site shows that West Ham are ranked No.1 for getting the Most Bookings in Premier League games this season.
Standout stat:
- West Ham have landed Most Cards/ Most Booking Points bets in 7 of their last 9 away games
The Hammers have also come out on top in the area in 4 of their last 5 encounters with Tottenham.
Spurs have landed this bet in just one of their last 5 home games in the Premier League. And in 3 of those 5 games – including the comeback match against Man Utd last week – Jose Mourinho’s team didn’t get any Cards at all (zero Booking Points For).
STATS PICK:
- Most Cards – West Ham @ 19/20 (1.95) with Betway, 10/11 (1.91) 888 Sport, Unibet, 5/6 (1.83) Bet365 (West Ham 0 Card Handicap)
Or: Most Booking Points – West Ham @ 17/20 (1.85) with William Hill, 5/6 (1.83) Boylesports, 4/5 (1.80) Skybet.
Three Scorers to follow tonight…
Here are three men to follow in the Anytime Scorer markets tonight, including two in the early kick-offs from 6pm. All are available at around Evens (2.00) to find the net…
Leicester v Brighton
Premier League, 6pm
Jamie Vardy is top scorer in the Premier League this season. The Leicester striker looked sharp in the first game back last weekend. He needs one more goal to reach 100 in the Premier League. And he’s got 30 goals from his last 40 games. Vardy has scored in each of his last 4 appearances v Brighton…
Levante v Atletico Madrid
Spain – La Liga, 6.30pm
Alvaro Morata has got 3 goals in his last 5 games for Atletico Madrid. The Spaniard is top scorer for his side this season. Opponents Levante have kept just 2 Clean Sheets in their last 25 league games…
Tottenham v West Ham
Premier League, 8.15pm
Harry Kane got some stick last week, with the least amount of touches of any outfield player in the game v Man Utd. However, Harry most definitely knows how to apply the finishing touch and find the net. This stat says it all:
Kane is 2 games without a goal. He hasn’t gone 3 games without scoring all season…
