Stats Picks…

FA Cup weekend takes up a chunk of the usual fixture list in England. But there are 11 games League Two. And along with a full programme in the Scottish Premiership, Serie A, La Liga and Bundesliga, we have plenty of matches to look at...

Here are our Stats Picks:

LEAGUE TWO

Starting with the two form teams in League Two...

Exeter v Colchester - Exeter to win

Sat 3pm

Exeter have are joint-top with a game in hand. They Grecians have won 3 in a row, and 4 of their last 5 - with all 4 of those wins coming To Nil.

Overall, Exeter are on a 10-game unbeaten run in the league. At home, the cathedral city side are unbeaten since 28th September - taking in 7 league games and 13 in competitions.

Colchester are 7th, winning just one of their last 6.

The formbook points to the home side here.

  • Exeter to win @ 6/5 (2.20) with Boylesports, BetVictor, Ladbrokes, Coral, Marathonbet, 23/20 (2.15) Bet365, William Hill

Stevenage v Plymouth - Plymouth to win

Sat 3pm

Stevenage are second-bottom, with just one win from their last 12 games. That solitary victory came at Cambridge, who have lost 4 in a row.

At home, Mark Sampson’s side have failed to score in each of their last 4. In fact, Stevenage have managed just one goal in total across their last 6 games at Broadhall Way.

Plymouth on the other hand are 4th, winning 3 in a row and 6 of their last 7. Those 3 most recent victories were all by winning margins of 2+ goals.

  • Plymouth to win @ 19/20 (1.95) with Boylesports, Marathonbet, 10/11 (1.91) in general

ITALY - SERIE A

Two form teams also stand out as Match Result selections in Italy...

Roma v Lazio - Lazio to win

Sun 5pm

Lazio are in 3rd place in Serie A, and very much the form team in Italy (and beyond) in terms of winning streaks - with 11 successive victories.

Roma are 4th and a tough opponent. But the Rome side have lost their last 2 at home in the league - going down 0-2 v 9th placed Torino, and 1-2 against league leaders Juventus.

Consider too the fact that this is the Rome derby and both teams are in fact ‘at home’ in the Olimpico Stadium.

Lazio have a lot going for them right now. Not least Serie A top scorer Ciro Immobile, who has found the net in 12 of his last 14 league appearances. That includes 5 goals from the last 2 games. And he’s scored 4 penalties since the start of December.

In the Anytime Scorer market, Immobile is odds-on to score again this weekend. In the Match Result betting, his Lazio side are odds-against to maintain their winning streak.

  • Lazio to win @ 6/4 (2.50) with Sportingbet, 29/20 (2.45) BetVictor, Skybet, 7/5 (2.40) Bet365 and in general

Napoli v Juventus - Juventus to win

Sun 7.45pm

Reigning champions Juventus have won 5 in a row in the league, and 4 of their last 5 on the road.

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored in each of those last 5 wins, bagging a total of 8 goals in that spell - including 2 penalties.

Napoli are 11th and have lost 3 in a row and 4 of their last 5.

At home, Napoli have lost 4 in a row in Serie A and are 6 matches without a win.

Against champions Juve, the Naples side have lost the last 3 instalments of this Italian rivalry.

As with Lazio & Immobile, the odds-against price for Juventus & Ronaldo is to be found in the Match Result market.

  • Juventus to win @ 11/10 (2.10) with Betway, NetBet, 10Bet, 21/20 (2.05) Bet365, Boylesports, Ladbrokes, Coral, Marathonbet, Sportingbet
