Time to get prepped for the Bundesliga...

We had some promising football news yesterday.

There are lots of meetings going on across the UK and Europe right now. But Thursday’s discussion in Germany is the one that stood out.

The Bundesliga say they’re ready to get back playing again from as early as 9th May. If the German government gives this plan the green light next Thursday (30th April), then we should be on for a May return to on-pitch action for Bayern Munich and co…

The matches will need to be played behind closed doors with no supporters in the ground. And health & safety will be paramount, in order to comply with coronavirus guidelines. The Germans have set up a task force to make sure this all gets put in place.

Good news from Germany is good news for us...

An improvement in the coronavirus situation in a country like Germany means an improved chance of getting live football back on our screens.

With May now looking likely for the Bundesliga, this means we could have at least one of our flagship leagues to focus on in the weeks to come...

With a Bundesliga restart potentially just two weekends away, we have a good couple of weeks to prepare…

That means delving into the Across the Leagues website, where we have Team Stats and League Stats sections covering all 18 Bundesliga teams.

We’ve got the stats...

Bet-specific Bundesliga categories on your members-only site include:

Match Results, Win To Nil, Clean SheetsTotal Goals - Under/ Over, Both Teams to Score, Goal TimesTotal Cards - Under/ Over and Most Bookings stats… Half Time markets… and First & Anytime Scorers, Carded players… as well as Referee tables.

Our site gathers all this information together for you in one easy-to-use website.

And the stats contain gems that many bettors will miss out on completely…

For example, referee Patrick Ittrich has taken charge of 8 Bundesliga games this season, and 7 of them have gone Over 3.5 Cards (88%). And two of them have seen Red Cards. This a Ref to look out for in the Cards & Bookings markets.

Bundesliga Referee Stats

Every game covered…

When the fixture list is reactivated, our site will also have Head-2-Head comparisons for every Bundesliga game. Giving you at-a-glance guides to the standout stats and betting opportunities for each match.

All being well, the German authorities will confirm details of the restart by the end of next week.

Between now and the possible May return date, I’ll be getting you up to speed for the return of the Bundesliga, with Across the Leagues email updates highlighting the top trends for the season so far - and ones to look out for when the teams get back on the pitch.

P.S

How are you getting on with staying in touch with friends, family & loved ones right now?

WhatsApp messages and Zoom calls are great. But sometimes the old ways are still the best way to bring a smile, especially if you have elderly parents or relatives that you can’t visit right now…

Check out this exclusive new range of ‘Songs of Hope’ postcards. They include some classic wartime lyrics. As the line goes, We’ll meet again...

Best wishes,

Shaun Humphris
