3/1 pick for Chelsea v Man City tonight...

  • Chelsea v Man City…

Goals galore again at Atalanta…

The goals were flowing again in Italy last night. Atalanta came from 0-2 down to beat Lazio, 3-2. Landing the Over 3.5 Goals odds for the 7th time in 9 home games.

Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams to Score bets have delivered in 8 Atalanta games in a row in all competitions. With some crazy Correct Scores along the way, including 4-1, 4-3 and 7-2 wins, along with last night’s 3-2.

Keep Atalanta in mind for goals bets between now and the end of the season.

Elsewhere in Serie A yesterday, Inter Milan had a 3-3 draw with Sassuolo, and Roma beat Sampdoria, 2-1.

Goals at both ends are still proving hard to come by in the Premier League and La Liga, though…

Four of Wednesday’s 5 games in the Premier League saw just one team getting on the scoresheet. Since the restart, Both Teams to Score has paid out in just 5 of 19 games in the English top-flight (26%).

In Spain, all of last night’s games went Under 2.5 Goals and with just one side scoring, with results of: 2-0, 0-1 and 0-1. Since Monday, 7 out of 8 La Liga matches have seen Under 2.5 Goals.

Today’s games…

There are three games in the Premier League this evening, starting from 6pm, and two fixtures in La Liga…

Can Burnley bounce back from their 5-0 thrashing at Man City last time out? They’re 2/1 (3.00) for the Home Win against relegation-battling Watford. Sean Dyche has managed to get a reaction out of his players a few times this season after poor results/ performances. Including a 1-0 win v Newcastle after a 5-0 humbling at Tottenham, and a 3-0 victory v West Ham after a 3-0 beating at Sheffield United.

Over in Spain, will we see ‘New Manager Syndrome’ kicking in for Real Betis? With a new man in the dugout for tonight’s game v La Liga’s bottom club Espanyol, Betis are Even Money (2.00) for the Home Win. Betis’ last 10 home games have all gone Over 2.5 Goals. Espanyol’s first away game since the restart ended 0-0.

STATS PICKS & ANALYSIS

We are focusing on the Scorer stats for two games this evening…

Southampton v Arsenal

Premier League
6pm, Sky Sports

Southampton started back with an impressive 3-0 win at Norwich. Arsenal have lost 2 out of 2 on their travels since play resumed, 3-0 at Man City and then 2-1 at Brighton.

Only bottom club Norwich have won fewer away games in the Premier League than Arsenal this season. The Gunners’ away record is W2 D8 L5.

Southampton have won just 2 of their last 7 in the league at St Mary’s. The Saints are priced up as 13/8 (2.63) to win. Arsenal are the same price. The draw is 5/2 (3.50).

In our midweek Premier League Predictions in ATL Extra, we’ve gone for the Southampton 2-1 Correct Score at 10/1 (11.00).

If you add in the man of the moment up front for the home side, the Scorecast on Southampton to win 2-1 and Danny Ings to be First Goalscorer is 35/1 with Bet365 and Paddy Power.

Ings is our stats picks here. The table on our site shows he’s got 15 Anytime Scorer payouts this season, more than any other player in the Premier League.

Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a danger, too. He’s just behind Ings on 14 Anytime payouts for the season. Aubameyang is currently 3 league games without a goal. He hasn’t gone 4 without scoring all season.

Both men are around Evens today. With the edge to the home team here, Ings is our man to follow.

STATS PICK:

  • Anytime Scorer – Danny Ings @ 6/5 (2.20) with Bet365, VBet, 11/10 (2.10) 888  Sport, Unibet, Evens (2.00) Sportingbet, Boylesports, Betfred, Paddy Power, Betfair Sportsbook

Chelsea v Man City

Premier League
8.15pm, BT Sport

Man City need to win tonight, or Liverpool will be crowned Premier League champions. The Away Win is odds-on at 3/4 (1.75) in general. In our Predictions we’ve gone for the City 3-1 Correct Score at 14/1 (15.00).

Sergio Aguero has got 5 goals in his last 4 games v Chelsea, but he’s out injured tonight. This could give an opportunity for Kevin De Bruyne to shine once again…

We’ve got a habit of naming a player to score, only to miss out one week and see them deliver the next. Having backed De Bruyne last time out at 9/5 (2.80), let’s take the standout 3/1 (4.00) in the Anytime Scorer market today…

De Bruyne has found the net in 2 of his last 5 appearances v Chelsea. And in 2 of his last 4 Premier League games.

STATS PICK:

  • Anytime Scorer – Kevin De Bruyne @ 3/1 (4.00) with 888 Sport, Unibet, 11/4 (3.75) Bet365, VBet, Paddy Power, Betfair Sportsbook, Sportingbet, Bwin
