Stats Picks…
The weekend is here and there’s a full round of games across all eight of the domestic & European leagues that we cover.
I’ve done the hard work for you and gone through the stats. Here’s the pick of the top trends and match-ups...
- See below for full details of this weekend’s Stats Picks
PREMIER LEAGUE
It’s no big news that Liverpool are the form team in the Premier League. The Reds have kicked off the season with 6 wins in a row – stretching their winning streak to 15 consecutive league games going back to March. Liverpool travel to Sheffield Utd in the Saturday lunchtime game on BT Sport (12.30pm). The bookies make Jurgen Klopp’s men odds-on favourites in the Match Result betting at 4/11 (1.36).
The Cards & Bookings market holds a good match-up at Bramall Lane...
Liverpool were the best-behaved team in the top-flight last season with just 39 Yellow Cards, fewer than any other side. Six games into 2019/20 and the Reds are yet to land a Most Cards result. Going back to last season, that run extends to 11 games.
Sheff Utd have got the Most Cards/ Booking Points in all 3 home games since being promoted to the Premier League – and in 5 out of 6 overall. The Blades look good at Evens (2.00) and 10/11 (1.91).
On the Goals stats, Bournemouth v West Ham is a strong Both Teams to Score candidate. Bournemouth are 100% for that bet so far, paying out in 6 out of 6 league games. The Hammers have kept 3 Clean Sheets in a row in the league, but are 2 from 3 on the road for Both Teams to Score.
The Cherries have found the net at least once in each of their last 9 Premier League outings. Four of the last 5 meetings between these clubs have seen goals at both ends.
CHAMPIONSHIP
Stoke City v Nottingham Forest is on Sky Sports tonight (8pm). Stoke are winless in the league this season, losing 6 out of 8. Forest are unbeaten in 7 and have won 3 of their last 4. Draw No Bet stands out for the away team here.
QPR v West Brom is as strong an early-season match-up you could find for Both Teams to Score. QPR are 7 from 8 for that bet so far, and the Baggies are 100%, with 8 payouts out of 8.
SPAIN – LA LIGA
Villarreal v Real Betis is a strong Both Teams to Score contender in La Liga (tonight, 8pm). Betis are top-ranked for that stat so far with 5 out of 6 payouts (83%). Villarreal have had goals at both ends in 4 out of 6 games, and in 7 of their last 9 at home in the league overall.
Their recent history is consistent with this trend, too. Both Teams to Score has paid out in all 4 meetings between these clubs over the last two seasons.

P.S
As reported a few weeks back, we're in the process of updating the members-only section of your Across the Leagues website with the new stats categories for La Liga, Bundesliga and Serie A. You may have noticed a new tab called 'European Leagues' has appeared on the site. This will shortly be populated with the 2019/20 stats to date for those three new leagues.
We've been having some technical (website) difficulties beyond my immediate control. However, this issue is being worked on as I speak. We'll soon have the new stats on the site for you.
Best wishes,
Shaun Humphris
