Welcome to your Weekend Stats Review email.
Every Monday we take a look at the latest stats and results – catching up on the performance of our picks, and drawing attention to particularly eye-catching teams, players or trends.
Four wins in a row for Crawley...
We had one winner from our two weekend picks, with Crawley beating Grimsby 3-0 in League Two at odds of 13/10 (2.30).
Crawley have now won 4 games in a row, 7 of their last 8 – and 6 of their last 7 at Home.
In contrast, Grimsby are now 12 games without a win, and have failed to score in 8 of those 12 – losing 3-0 in their last 2 Away.
A ‘Home’ winner for us there, but in the Premier League Huddersfield failed to deliver on their Home corner-winning stats...
The Terriers had won the Most Corners in 7 out of 8 games at the John Smith’s stadium v non-Top 6 sides, but brought to an end a 5-game losing streak with a 4-1 win on Sunday. Opponents Bournemouth won the Most Corners, 6-2.
- Over the last four weeks, 8 of our 11 picks have won. Tomorrow we’ll be looking at the Champions League
As well as another 3 points for Crawley, Aston Villa also continued their winning run with a 2-0 derby-day victory over Birmingham. Villa have now won 7 games in a row in the Championship.
Here’s how the top of our Form table looks today:
Latest stats & streaks – Bradford goals continue...
The data on our site highlights many other prolific and profitable trends in the stats markets.
For example, after the weekend games:
- Bradford 2 Bury 2 - After a 5-game losing run Bradford changed their manager, but their Over 2.5 Goals form continued with another high-scoring game here. Bradford are ranked 2nd in our League One standings for that bet, and Over 2.5 Goals has paid out in 11 of their last 12 games
- Tottenham 1 Arsenal 0 – Tottenham won the corner count, 10-2, and have now won the Most Corners in 79% of Premier League Home games at Wembley. And as we looked at in Friday’s ATL Extra email, the Home side has now won the Most Corners in each of the last 10 North London derbies
- Aston Villa 2 Birmingham 0 – sticking with the local derby stats, this 2-0 win was not only Villa’s 7th straight league win but also the 9th Midlands derby out of 10 to go Under 2.5 Goals. Birmingham are the No.1 team in the Championship for that bet this season, with an 81% Away strike-rate for Under 2.5 Goals
- Blackburn 2 Oldham 2 – Blackburn are the form team for Both Teams to Score bets with 7 payouts from their last 8 games. There have now been goals at both ends in each of their last 5 League One games at Ewood Park
- Stoke 1 Brighton 1 – there were No Cards in this game, with Brighton staying 1st place in the Premier League for Under 3.5 Cards. This was the Seagulls’ 12th Under 3.5 Cards game from 14 Away trips this season
